Tinordi did not get the memo on Clark or Kocur for that matter

Being a serious Blackhawks fan, I would have loved to have Tinordi instead of Chelios. Bad knees and all. Tinordi was all business all day. His fight with Jason Smith was amazing!

Growing up in MINNY I was a huge north stars fan and really admired tinordi's grit. I knew he beat Clark once but not twice. Wow did Tinordi bring it in those fights. Anyone else miss the NORRIS division?

Tinordi was one of the more underrated guys of his era. He has a classic with Robert Dirk in Minny when Dirk was with the Blues

I think it's more like other guys didn't get the memo on Tinordi. Or they did but didn't read the part about his long arms.

My favourite Tinordi moment came in the '96 playoffs as a Cap against the Penguins. It's game 5 and the Penguins are about to take a 3-2 series lead. The Capitals just had Craig Berube and Dale Hunter out causing problems, so on the next shift the Penguins throw Dave Roche and Alek Stojanov out to retaliate. Big Stojanov goes right after Mark Tinordi. The decision would cost him some blood.

Beauty here with Scott Levins. Toe to toe action with Levins landing a bomb at 31 seconds.

His fight with Shanahan was a good one too. That Dirk fight was an omg fight.

Tinordi was hardly ever in a bad fight and receives plenty of accolades in here, he's not a forgotten guy by any means. As you should know, its the 10th thread you've made about him. I'm not sure if you're insinuating Tinordi won that fight against Kocur but since you have a penchant for running down anything Kocur I'll assume that was your intent. Fight was a easily a draw, and you don't mention anything about the second fight between the two, where Tinordi is cut open and beaten. You're incredibly dishonest when it comes to giving Kocur his due... Will you be posting the second one? I'd wager no.

Tinordi was a very good fighter though, one of the best hitters of his era as well. Gave us fight fans many great battles.

My favorite player and, possibly, one of the most consistently exciting fighters ever. The two truly great fights that haven't been mentioned are a short, blazing T2T vs John Kordic and a marathon vs Sergio Momesso. He also holds wins over notables like Chris Nilan, Rob Ray and two vs an older version of Ken Baumgartner. He's knocked in some corners for a lack of power but he did drop two outstanding fighters in Rudy Poeschek and Keith Primeau.

One fight i always wondered about was among his first in DC. He took on Paul Laus in a fight that i've never heard anything about, let alone seen.

1. your assumptions about my motives are 100% incorrect

I was merely admiring the way Tinordi approached Kocur, seemingly with disregard, to his right, vice most other fighters who immediately went on defensive.

2. Ditto for his gusto against Clark, no fear!

So you won't be posting their second fight?

You'll have to forgive me, since you've ran down Kocur at every opportunity available, it stood to reason you're just continuing on that line.

I see that this thread is becoming a "Tinordi" atta boy thread and that's not a bad thing. But, in all seriousness, I really wanted to zero in on his fights with Clark and take a look at again, his seemingly blatant/oblivious dis-regard for fighters with such fearsome reps -

I can't find the 2nd Kocur vs Tinordi fight, does anyone have it?

I'd also say that the first fight was a draw, fairly tough battle with both landing some punches. Camera work is terrible, of course.
