Tie Domi vs Tony Twist

who would win??

I think Twist in his prime is too much for Domi.
He could quickly overpowers Tughir Domi.
Domi with couple TKOwins.
Twist with few clear wins.

5-3-2 for Twister.

Twist could fight well with/in spinningfest i know as he couldnt be in any troubles with Domi.

Domi was small, didn't juice, and never disrobed during a fight. Tie fought guys twice his size and never blinked.

Twist wishes he was half the man Domi was.

I have no problem with hypothetical threads, especially this one. I just have much more respect for Tie Domi than I do for Tony Twist.

To answer your question, Domi would never put himself in a situation to get caught by Twist. I could foresee a lot of bombs by Twist that hit nothing but helmet and shoulder pads.

Domi was the better technical fighter of the two, hands downs, and accordingly should be ranked higher all time.

I agree DOmi was better technically but Twist was still better IMO.
Twist wasnt always landing his hard shots but landing to shoulder pats/helmet but at least he could beat you clearly, overwhelming/overpowering you like he did to McKenzie and Probert for example.
Thanks guy, you are nice guy.
I miss guys like you more on this site. and not guys who are against me.
Hehe.

Don't be shocked the two never fought. Domi made it part of his routine to duck Twist. Anytime the two played against each other Domi was always on his best behavior. He never seemed to want any part of Twist.

Anyways, this series is clearly in Twist's favor. Twist is far too strong for Domi to use his popular spin-cycle on him. Also, Twist is also strong enough to hold Domi off with his left and pound away with rights, who has the reach advantage as well. Twist wins this series 8-1-2.

I bet Twist would look to swing big. When he connects forget it!

But you couldn't hurt Tie Domi.

Tie was much better & smarter than Twist. Domi could switch hands & take a punch, while Twist's chin wasn't the best & only a right hander.

I like this hypothetical but find it somewhat of a difficult decesion. Twist was so strong but yet I just can't see him ragdolling Domi..Domi was also very strong and actually pretty hard to hit..When you did hit him he had a granite chin..Righty vs. Lefty throws another curve in...no matter what... it is harder for a righty to adjust to a lefty than vice versa..It has been said that Domi ducked Twist but I don't think I ever saw them play against each other so I have no say.

Balance- Domi
Power - Twist
Chin- Domi
Endurance - Domi
Size- Twist

My first inclination is to go with Twist because of his sheer power but then I think of Domi and his hard left connecting during a spin cycle after weathering Twist intial onslaught..

I think both guys had a mutual respect for each other and realized it was a difficult fight for both.... fukkk... to why did they not go at least once...

you can also add switching hands -Domi
taking a punch - Domi

Domi fought guys a lot tougher than Twist so I don't believe that Domi ducked him.

Another advantage Twist has is reach. Twist is more than strong enough to hold off someone like Domi and pound away.

Twist pretty easy actually, just a bad matchup for Tie. Would be over powered by an animal, even though i like Domi, he would not stand a chance

I think Twist threw so hard that he could throw himself off balance if he missed Domi.

Twist would break his hand on Domi's head, and reach wouldn't have anything to do with it, we have seen countless times with that spin cycle, and Domi ducking, some of the bigger guys couldn't tag him, and boom counter punch. Twist would be so dizzy he would just fall down from that

That is half the problem Twist weighed 245 at the end of his career, and his power would just send him to the ice, and we all know Tony like to golf people of the head when someone was on the ice. Like i said though i like Tie nothing against him.
