Scott Parker VS Tony Twist

IMO.. Parker reminds me a lot of Twist... but I think he's got more skills as a fighter. Just wondering what you guys think about these 2..

They fought once in Colorado and I think the Sheriff won a slight decision. I dont know if it is fair to compare the two because Parker hasnt had his breakout year yet. Hopefully that comes this year.

Twist would own parker

I think they have similar punching power and strength, I would pick Parker based on height...

That fight between these two wasnt that great. If were talking the Parker of right now,i'd take Twist.I agree that Parker has more skills, but until he proves it im sticking with Twist.

Uhhhhhggggg, why the Parker love fest? Are we talking about the "what if" Parker? He just hasn't fought enough to be in the same league as Twister.
How's this one...Who would win, Domi or Pee Wee Herman (if he put on 250lbs. of muscle and trained with Bob Probert)...that's just as ridiculous as putting Scott CouldaShouldaWoulda Parker vs. Twister best outta 10's.

I don't necessarily think that Twister would dominate a best of 10 with Parker . . . these guys went once when Parker was a mere pup and Twister was in his prime - in a rather uneventful fight, Parker held his own - both guys were certainly leery of the other's power . . . I could see each guy winning a few if one or the other got loose . . .

As of now Id go Twist 5-2-3. Parkers alot like the Rams, not nearly as good as he could be, but noones really sure why he isnt.

BB i hope this isnt directed towards me.Im with you on Parker. He's overrated and im pretty hard on him.Check out other thread regarding Parker and youll see.

Also this fight is betwee two of the most overrated fighters in the NHL.BUT if Parker got his right loose and tagged Twist, goodnight Tony.

FF, it wasn't directed towards you, it was at the topic in general. There always seems to be this Parker lovefest and it grows tiresome. He may have been good in the minors, but he just hasn't done it in the NHL. It seems this guy is a legend before his time.

Twister would destroy Parker. As far as I'm concerned, Parker is a figment of our imagination until he starts dropping the gloves. Parker is the next Sandy McCarthy/Chris Simon.

I hear that.Parker still gets all the hype.He will now kill the NHL because he plays for San Jose.Yea SJ is a paradise for enforcers.

Twist is easily "one of the all time best" ? I think not, and this has probably been debated here often. Since you brought it up, my opinion is that Twist's ranking is at best in the upper half of the second tier of NHL fighters. Is he 13th, 18th or 20th ? Dont know, but he was boring, predictable, had only one good hand/punch, little stamina and hand speed, and did I say boring ? I can think of 20 off the top of my head I would take over Twist as my fighter. Even though he was feared, Twist was kind of like the Ernie Shavers of hockey. A devastating punch if (and a big "if") it connected. That's about it.
