Anyways this past weekend I did something i haven't done in years. Listened to a hockey game on the radio. My home town team was on the road, the Halifax Mooseheads and i was unable to find a stream to watch the game and it was not televised. I've been following junior hockey more this year with the absence of the NHL. So i tuned into NEWS 95.7 to listen to the game via radio. While it would of been nice to actually watch the game and see the action. Listening to it on the radio brought back some old memories of my childhood listening to hockey and baseball games on the FM and AM radio.

When the London Knights play teams based in the US they dont televise the games , I have been listening to them on the radio for years now , ya it is like the old days when all we had was radio , and it definitely brings back memories of our youth ..

Real busy hockey weekend for me , three games attended one listened to on the radio , the Knights play the Plymouth Whalers tonight , that game will not be televised , but have that old standby ,THE RADIO .
Attended last nights game won by the Knights 4-1 (they played the Sudbury Wolves) , will be at one tomorrow afternoon , and am going to the Subway Super Series game on Monday night between Canada and Russia , the London Knights will have 4 players playing in that game , three for Canada , Max Domi (Yep he is the son of) Scott Harrington (named captain of team Canada) , Seth Griffith , and for Russia our 6-5 228 Defense man Nikita Zadorov , a good time will be had by the whole family ..

Today is the 10th anniversary of Steve Durbano's death. Although he was not the best fighter, he fought anyone and was feared because he was absolutely crazy. He was suspended in every league he ever played in. I hope he has finally found some peace

I would like to take this time to recognize and thank all those who have served in the armed forces of their country. No matter if it is called Remembrance Day or Veterans Day, thank you for your service to your country.

Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten here.

Going in for round two on my teeth.

Scheduled for two more hours of oral surgery to extract another molar and, hopefully, get my four front teeth fitted. I will use what they give me on an interim basis, then put the final implants in after they see how my new bite pattern is going to be.

I might be down for a day or two, but will be back up as soon as I can. Take care and good posting.

Hope all goes well. Smoke and prayers sent your way.

Had an infected molar one time and it was the most painful thing in my life - broken bones, hit in eye with puck, surgery... not even close.

All the best and get well soon!

I spent 5 hours in a dentist chair to have my wisdom teeth removed , stupidest thing I ever did , 4 teeth all at once , the top ones had to be split in four to remove because the roots where curved into my jaw , should have opted for surgery , the freezing took hours to come out , when it did the pain set in , one of the worse times in my life , was eating nothing but liquids for two weeks after .
Glad you opted for surgery , that is the only way to go , good luck and take care after , we will mind the store while you are down ..

Glenn Hall is being inducted into the St. Louis Hall Of Fame today. Hall, 81, actually made the trip from Alberta to be in St. Louis for it. I'm sure he's catching up on old stories with Bobby Plager. Another achievement in this great goalies career. I'm glad I have an autographed Blues puck from him. Congrats Mr. Hall.

Odd request/question I got so I figured I'd ask in this thread. A Kings blogger is looking for a song played on local LA "Pirate Radio" in the 90's that was called "Hrudey's on Duty Tonight". I've never personally heard it as I got in to hockey later. But apparently it's hard to come by and figured I'd ask you guys as I know there's been a few hockey songs posts here and there on hockeyfights over the years.
