Found this one. Might be top 10 but deserves a mention. All of Vandy's fights were entertaining.

Real nice Peace'...I was trying to forget that one. Although if we were putting together a list of most embarrassing Blackhawk fights...that'd be #1.

Hmmmmmm...... gives me an idea for a new thread.

Probert vs Nyland

The Bob Probert vs Gary Nyland main event in line brawl was fun.

Lemieux - Snepts

Probie - Parker

And I'm sure I'll remember some classic Ted Bulley or Dave Logan at a later time.?.?

Speaking of Dave "The Hulk " Logan, I would've loved to have seen his fight in practice with Battleship Kelly , apparently it was quite a doozy. Logan if I remember correctly got his nose broken. That's one of the few ALL CHICAGO BLACKHAWK fights.

As I've mentioned before Ted Bulley was turd as a fighter, kind of like Russ Anderson (STL) ...they had a quick tempers, if the opponent wasn't too tough, and both had horrible balance. Spot picking was their forte. They were both good bodycheckers.

Logan I always liked and respected, he showed up all the time and did pretty well vs Nystrom , Wensink, Holmgren, but most remember his beating at the hands of Mad Mel Bridgman. Logan looked gassed before that even started...not vintage Logan.

Speaking of Grimson - Probert, did these two ever fight when neither had a Hawks jersey on? I havent any info/clips to hand so I could be wrong, but Im struggling to think of one..

I always enjoyed Jocelyn Lemieux dazing Nick Kypreos, letting up, and then giving it to him again after Nicky tried to get back into the fight.

His fight with Jay Wells wasn't bad either.

I believe the fight they had from 93-94 might be the only one not to. Grimson was with Anaheim and Probert was in his last year with Detroit.

Sadly that was when Big Behn was wearing the Cooperalls (PHI)...I don't know what's worse, getting your face smashed in or having it done by someone wearing Cooperalls. A true double whammy.

What's sad about that fight for Blues fans, Babych was being shopped around and a lot of teams were after him. After Wilson broke his face all the potential deals fell through..... Babych did return some time after wearing a visor to protect the broken facial bones, and managed to beat a badly faded Dave Hutchison in MLG. Babych was never the same after the Wilson fight though, not too many can recover to top form after a pounding like that.

I'm not sure if Cummins vs. Marshall was mentioned already but I figured I'd post the video. Great fight:

Russell-Marchment was also a great fight with tons of punches thrown. We rip Russell and Cummins at times but they were all out, no holds barred type fighters, despite their weaknesses.

Sorry, but Wilson was wearing short pants and a Hawks jersey when he demolished Babyich.

The Babych thing was a shame. He had the makings of a very good PF type of guy (by the way that was a very impressive brother tandem as Dave was a top notch d-man).

I was just looking up his stat's...

He played with Federko that year. Was Blake Dunlop the other winger that season when he scored 54 goals?

I thought it was Sutter, but looking at the team scoring I'm guessing it was Dunlop.

That season if Dunlop and Federko were his wingers, they netted 140 assists between the 2 of them. Babych would have been the beneficiary.

The season before (the 54) it looks like his linemates had 91 assists.

The season after (the 54) it looks like his linemates had 98 assists.

I had never thought of this but maybe a significant part of the drop off was simply that his linemates had career years as playmakers that yr. We're talking about 40-50 less assists the season before and after...That's a good 15-20 goals less.

Maybe he scored 54 goals because of his linemates, and not because he was a superstar in the making? Maybe he really was a good player, and not a great one, and he was just supposed to be a guy who scored 25+ goals a yr???

Now he never even scored 25 again, but I wonder if a big part of the problem was that he didn't have the skills to be a consistent 5o goal scorer, but the expectations, combined with the injury was too much.

Sorry to hijack.
