Another great post by Bert 14! Beat me to it bro. LOL I see where you are coming from drillcheck, but size is not the defining factor IMO.

Jmiller and northstar you have a pretty good rivalry going on there, anyway I just want to say how much I love reading your sarcastic comments and insults Jmiller, you have a very dry sense of humour.Although not a very good thing to say some of your insults do make laugh. [D]

Well fellas, I'm heading out on a long overdue va-ca to Hilton Head for a little golf and a whole lotta booze . . . hopefully, by the time I get back, everybody who hasn't yet provided their top 10 list will have done so . . . until then, take care everybody, and, as always, I'LL BE SURE TO DRINK A FEW FOR EVERYBODY . . .

I am not trying to start another argument, but I wonder how some of the veteran posters on this board feel about my list taking into account that is is pretty much from 1990-91 on. I would appreciate any opinions?

Blues 34 Ok, I'll give you my opinion and please don't take any offense. Probert at 1 is a good choice. Kocur over Brown is insane IMO because Kocur has alot of nobodies on his card. A great enforcer he was, but not even close to Brown IMO. Twist and Grimsom are OK I guess, but Twist had alot of nothing wins and Grimson was horrible at the start. McSorely and Kordic were clearly better enforcers IMO. If you are considering primes with McCarthy and Simon, I have no problem with them. As you may know, I take the whole career into account, but many consider just primes so to each his own. Hopefully, you will be able to get ahold of some old timers footage and compare on what you see rather than what you hear. I remember my all time list did'nt differ much from yours before I got my hands on alot of the older guy's footage so don't think I'm insulting you.

Blues, Reaps is right. Its easy to forget the guys of the past. Indeed your list if chock full of quality guys, but there are glaring all time status omissions. Your list is excellent if its lets say 1990 on or something.

first off Twist does not belong in the top 10. I dont see top 20 either but its all opinion I guess.

I would say your omissions are Wilson, Fotiu, Playfair, and maybe Nystrom and Gilles for starters. Obviously, it depends on if you can get enough foootage of all these guys because if you cant its hard to be objective. Anyway, these guys had much more sold careers and dominance over the fighters they faced and they faced many good fighters every night.

Semenko is also high I think. He was a GREAT enforcer but not the greatest fighter. To me he is like a Schultz.

Your bottom 10 is where it may be weak. These 3 were all great fighters but I even think Miller does not belong in the top 10. Again, if you are talking primes maybe, but he had some terrible losses near the end of career. It was a health problem but still they are there.

The 11-20 has the names but Chase (with all due respect) does not belong in the top 30. Ewen is very suspect and Crowder does not have the card to really place anywhere near this. Byers is a stretch when you look at the fact that other B's (Wensink and Jonathan) have better records althoguh Byers' card is strong.

You are not picking stiffs its just that depending on how you look at "all time" there might be better choices. What is your opinion of Dave Williams? He is the all time PIM leader. How about Stan Jonathan? (5'7" 175 lbs)

My list reflects guys that were SUPER-EFFECTIVE for a LONG period of time - to me, that is what ALL-TIME status is all about - I understand what people are saying about Wilson and Jonathan and McCarthy and Simon and Twist but a lot of those guys were dominate for only a few years and had half the fights of other guys; just me opinion

Here goes -

1 Kocur - fear factor
2 Probert - The Champ, but I thought Kocur, very quietly was better
3 Grimson - for me, the most imposing fighter
4 Berube - best run I ever saw in the late 80s and early 90s, and will have the second most fights all-time
5 Domi - will have the most fights of all and most PIMs - great card - consistently lost to Berube
6 McSorley - best enforcer ever
7 Ray - another Domi - in fact beats em head to head, but was weak for his first three or four seasons
8 Miller - next to Wendel Clark, my favorite fighter - a sentimental pick but I also thought he was awesome in his prime
9 Hunter - best technical fighter ever and maybe the toughest to beat
10 Baumer - similar to Hunter and maybe even tougher to beat

HM Dave Brown - a terror in the Grimson mold, but had his losses and ended up with a shorter career

I decided to edit my list because I donīt feel comfortable about it and because of the **** it gave me. My next list will include names as Ray Schultz and Tiger Williams instead of McRae and Hunter. But I still concider Twist and Kocur as top 10 because of their KO power. And I still donīt concider Stan Jonathan as a top 10, no matter what jmiller says. Iīm pretty sure jmiller wouldnīt mention Jonathan, if Stan had been a North Star.

Wow, NS..Thats really impressive. Thanks for calling me out again in a thread. You are not making a very good presence here. I think its time you ask yourself what your intentions on this board are? You keep instigating me and to be honest (as you have been warned by other posters) its not a good idea. This site is Vodkas and if you are going to act like a little immature prick then you will go the way of the other posters who have come on here with major attitude only to find out that they were not so tough and clever when all was said and done.

You were so sure of yourself with your orig list and when questioned about it you were so quick to jump down the throats of anyoneone who opposed it or gave you any criticism about it...We are all here to learn right? So instead of listening to the guys who knew you acted like a tough guy and gave no reasons for your choices despite several pleas from me and other members.

Now, after all your b/s you go back and just say..."I think I want to just forget about my list". Just forget it becuase what?? you were wrong? You were questioned? How about discussing it like an adult? Had that ever crossed your mind? Just going back and saying I give up is pretty weak. You want to embarass yourself more by doing that...go ahead...I couldn't care less if everyone on this site sees it. Thats weak dude!

Now, you want to put "Ray Schultz" on your list? Who the **** is Ray Schultz? Do you mean Dave The Hammer Schultz you nimrod? How about Williams???? You are goning to put him on your list now becuase why??? Do you have a clue? Would you like to learn or is this all about being tough? If it is you will looses and loose badly? Williams is no way near a top ten guy. Hate to burst your bubble of knowledge there.

Of course you dont consider Jonathan a top 10 guy...Of course you dont as by your own admission you dont know anything about that era so of course your descision is logical right? WTF is that? You know nothing about Jonathan yet you claim he is no way near top 10....Yeah, your credibility just took another torpedo...You are on a roll!

Bottom line, I have yet to see you back up anything you say with anything close to even a reason let alone a fact. You dont listen to criticisim and fire back nonsense, you hurl stupid insults, You post all this knowledge then recant it like a ***** becuase some posters question it. You contardict yourself constantly. You have called me out several times (this last time for no reason) Basicly you act about 12 years old. You are basicly insulting everyone here with your postes and behavior and believe me when I tell you all the other posters see it and dont respect you.

I am the only one who has stepped forward and tried to help. What is it going to be? Another "Beantown Badass" response, "get your head examined", "Churla is Better than Miller response?" If that is what you are all about then I guess its hopeless.

This is the last time I waste more ink on you. Are you ready to become born again and contribute and learn here? This is your third and last warning and the next step is suspension...That I can guarantee!

N Star This isn't as open a forum as you think. Of course people are allowed to write their opinions, BUT if you don't back them up you lose credibility. Personally I like BS'ing as much as the next guy, but this is a hockey fight board and it would be nice if you could show ANY knowledge about the boards namesake. There are plenty of places on the web to go chat and start trouble so go there if that is your intention as it won't be tolerated here. Rookies need to establish themselves and I have'nt seen you do that at all.

I have no idea how this started between you and jmiller. However, I do know that jmill is asking you to back up what you say and you are coming back with nothing besides the same lame insult. My advice to you would be to show some knowledge or stay the heck out of topics you know little about.
