Most effective Team Facial Hair

So which were the teams that used their mustaches, van dyke's, sideburns and beards to their best of their abilities. Since these are after all human beings, All have their unique styles and preparations. For example one may say Lanny McDonald's duster carried the Flames to victory. A bearded Clark Gillies was more overwhelming. Larry Robinson's untamed sideburns flying wildly. I know a lot of you have keen eyes that may pick up on things I've missed.

Starts and ends with Gillies, then:

Bill Flett
Jack MacIllarghey

Frankly, I'm disappointed the owners haven't grown lockout beards as a sign of solidarity.

Mel Bridgman's unibrow

Mike Commodore's red afro

John Wensink

It is funny that Clark Gillies didn't have the same aura without a beard or with a helmet.

There's also a few pictures of an unkempt Glen Cochrane looking like he wandered down from the hills

Both he and Dave Richter had some scary looking eyes over their mustaches.

Good call on Jay Miller. He always reminded me of the leader of a biker gang. The kind surrounded by much bigger men so you knew he had to be either charismatic and/or a ruthless SOB

yeah, Gillies with a helmet would be like watching Wayne Gretzky playing with a full beard....great point
