MacIntyre and Boogaard Vs. Your Top 10

Anybody lucky enough to latch on to Mac or Boogie preferably above breast bone in the pads, tuck in their chin, and throw straight ahead to the chin have a greater chance of succeeding if it is done early and in one rapid succession of movements - one needs to establish this positioning out the gate - anybody that is going to side-saddle it with the head at the side routine and try and swing for the fences against guys this large and heavy with the leverage and torque they can generate is going to get a ticket to queer street real quick

I agree Big Mac and Boogie are never going to end up in anyone's top 10 or probably not in most top 20 either. They just don't have enough body of work. I don't expect to see MacIntyre with much more NHL fights then he already has. For one hes a terrible player so he won't dress much at the NHL level. Secondly there aren't too many guys in his league anymore fighting wise and guys are not going to jump at the chance to get the Ivanans treatment. Not to mention with hockey in general going soft in general there are not as many elite HWs and Super HWs left. MacIntyre is considered to be one of the toughest if not the toughest guy in all of hockey. But he really doesn't have much competition anymore. In the AHL only really Patrick Bordeleau is going to give this guy a real challenge. Im not saying other guys can't beat Mac cause in a fight anything can happen.
The thing with hypothetical's is it's all based on assumption. If Probert who is regarded as the best all time by most never fought Peter Worrell or Lyle Odelein. Probably 90-99% would have Probert winning a hypothetical fight series against either opponent. However in reality both guys won there fight series against him. Same with Dave Brown against Rob Ray or Chris Simon. Myself personally think the best thing that comes out of all the comparisons between fighters who fought in the same era and never meet up or two fighters from different era's is all the great discussions that come out of it from all the knowledgeable posters. Sure we aren't all going to agree on things but that's part of the fun. It can also be very educational to those posters/readers who might not be as knowledgeable. I know I've learned a ton over the years from hearing what some of the old school posters have written, guys like Shrem, ILB, and BENNETTWOLF and many others. Cheers.
