Lineage of the Heavyweight Champ & Top Ten Lists '75-'09

The league was only beginning to neuter itself at this point, but this is my list.

1.Probert-knock out power and rep clearly earn him this spot
2.Kocur-no harder puncher anywhere anytime
3.Jay Miller-neither a knockout punch or a big name, but could outlast anyone and rarely lost
4.Ken Baumgartner-good puncher, good balance, decisioned some of the bigger names
5.Lyndon Byers-great puncher, had stamina, somewhat psychotic, and walked the walk when he was healthy
6.tony Twist-just coming into his own at this point. would later develop into a monster
7.Gord Donnelly-always overlooked on these forums, but he kept everyone honest and rarely got embarrassed,
8.John Kordic-God bless him. Ran wild and was fearless. Always on the trading block but always in demand.
9.Shane Churla-taking over for an older Basil Macrae. Overlooked and underappreciated.
10.Mike Peluso-just so big and strong, he often overwhelmed his opponents.
Too all of those I have left off..you guys know that this was a great time for fighters. So many names come to mind so don't be offended if you don't see your favs here....Steve

1.G.Laraque(dominating the opponents, convincing card, didn't get beaten)
2.D.Boogaard(hammers the oppnents, dropped Fedoruk, gets dropped by Godard, but did a great comeback fightning with him time of the same month)
3.D.Brashear(not so excellent, but proved his toughness beaten Orr 3x,taking a good revenge over Peters)
4.B.McGrattan(strong season, you see his fights against Peters 2x, Janssen 2x, Erskine, Shelley and Cairns)
5.D.J.King(great rookie season, wins over Shelley, Parker and Low)
6.A.Peters(won Brashear, 2 fights with McGrattan)
7.R.Ivanans(took revenge over Boogaard, fought 2x with Laraque)
8.W.Belak(did a comeback to topten winning Peters and Brashear)
9.G.Parros(good result, even if gets dropped by Shelley, he proved it fight that he can go toe to toe, just narrow loss to Brashear, nice win over Parker)
10.C.Orr(dropped Fedoruk, fought 3x with Brashear, which is noticed)

2.E.Cairns(too little fights, but did well as he fights)
3.A.Roy(convincing season, you see his fights against Brashear, Norton and Ivanans)
4.J.Shelley(too uneven though)

3.S.Grimson(won Laraque, KO's R.Simpson)
4.P.Worrell(dominating his opponents, not best card)
5.J.McKenzie(solid year, good series of fights with McCarthy and McCallister)
6.R.Low(good year by rookie taking Grimson, Probert, May, Domi 2x...)
7.C.McCallister(strong work taking McKenzie 3x with good result, once he went with McCarthy doing well, smoking McKay)
8.T.Fedoruk(a great draw with Ray, good fight with Odgers but got loss as he takes a revenge over Odgers, fights well against Worrell, finished Oliwa in his last punch)
9.S.Parker(a great fight against Grimson, 2 very good fights against another rookie Low, 2 fights with Brashear)
10.S.McCarthy(few great shows, but wasn't his best year)

1.D.Purinton(fights with all, a good fights against Grimson, Blouin and Fedoruk)
2.M.Johnson(maybe could be in TopTen because of his even work although wasn't so great)
3.W.Belak(2 very good show against Laraque! a good one too with Brashear, but too much of lame fights though)
4.T.Domi(could be TopTen-material, taking Low, Belanger and Roy twice, fought 3x with Brashear)
5.B.Probert(showed still his goodness a few time)
