John Kordic

The Rambo, he was good fighter/warrior really.
I have watched his many fights from DropYourGloves-site and he was usually a winner in his fights.
Where do you rank him actually??

here is his some fights;
YouTube - John Kordic vs Jay Miller -...

YouTube - John Kordic vs Tim Hunter -...

YouTube - Jay Miller vs John Kordic Round 1

YouTube - Wendel Clark vs John Kordic

YouTube - Byers vs Kordic 87-88

YouTube - Troy Crowder vs John Kordic
meeting very tough Crowder who was in his prime at this time

YouTube - John Kordic vs Glen Cochrane
nice scrap with tough Cochrane

One of my favorites for sure, but there were a few of the real heavyweights he didn't fight. (Semenko, McSorley, Berube, Kocur, Probert) but in his prime he was a top 10 guy. He had a machine gun for a left hand, but if you were able to tie up his left, he was in trouble. Most will question his punch power, but no denying he was one of the most entertaining fighters alltime. He had some great battles against Jay Miller, Basil McRae & Gord Donnelly. For me, he's not a top 20 guy because he was too 1 dimensional & because his fight card isn't the greatest.

Somewhere in the top 20-25 all-time for me. Really good fighter, but somewhat of a pillow puncher.

I was reading somewhere that John Kordic did in fact fight Joey Kocur in the 1990 preseason.

One of my all time faves and he is definatly in my top 5 favourites. I said personal faves. My overall would have him at around 20 give or take. In his final days of hockey playing for the Cape Breton Oilers in Sydney N.S. I watched him fight 3 guys in the first and hit some sap so hard that you could hear fist hitting flesh across the rink. The only time I ever heard that was a junior game where Freddy Oduya of the 67's did it to Nathon Perrot of the 'Gens.

One dimensional yes but his simple tactic worked quite well pretty often actually.
His career was too short though, because he die i know it story.
Kordic reminded a Twister actually.

One of my personal favorites, he always came to fight ( except for the embarrassing backpedal to Probert ).

Another example of " hockey fighter with demons " who unfortunately succumbed failing to cope with them

Yes, they did fight in September 1990 at MLG. I have stated many times that although I loved Kordic, I wasn't happy with his reluctance to engage the Bruise brothers. Johnny K did not lose too many, but he also did not take on the best of the best.

Kordic won the lone fight with Kocur, it was an untelevised exhibition game at MLG, I have footage of it on one of my old tapes....

He also fought Berube many times in the WHL, I honestly think they'd had enough of each other by the time they made "the show".

In his prime, he gave everyone hell and those he didnt tangle with would have had their hands full, without a doubt!!

I'd put him just ahead of Jay Miller.
