Very weak argument. Anyone that isn't blind or delusional knows that he floored Gillies with a short right to the jaw. A "slip" is a piss poor excuse. Enough with it already.

You're like a broken record with the dopey comments. Wilson never "ran" or "cowered" from anybody in his career. He was the best there was during the late 70's to early 80's.

"Rangers dominated the Flyers"

Right, the smurfs dominated everybody. You're a funny little guy.
Hey Moron, that playoff the Rangers outscored the Flyers 28-8 and won in 5 games!
That is domination!
The Ranger Smurfs came in the 1980's showing how little that you know! Get some facts before you show us your ignorance!
Who coached the Flyers in the 1979 playoffs?
Oh Pat Quinn!
Who called the Rangers Smurfs and lost to them in the 1983 playoffs 3-0 getting outscored 18-9?
Oh Bob McCammon!

In April of 1979, Fotiu kicked Wilson's ass in Wilson's barn and Fotiu was 5 wins and no losses that year against the Flyers!
The Rangers played and dominated the Flyers 3 weeks later in the playoffs outscoring them 28-8!
I'm not a small person and your posts are totally ignorant and clueless!

Hey old man, I can see your alzheimer's catching up to you. I wasn't talking about how they did in the playoffs (in which the Flyers still own the rags). I was talking about how the rags bent over and took it from the Flyers game in and game out. It got so bad to the point in the late 80's Phil Esposito was crying that he didn't want the rags playing the Flyers in exhibition games because the Flyers beat up on the rags so bad. I know it's a tough pill for you swallow, but you can't ignore facts.

They lost 3 series from 1979 to 1983 and were dominated getting outscored 65-32 losing 10 out of 12 games!
Yeah the Flyers were dominated by the Rangers!
Gene Hart used to cry that the Referees were calling too many penalties on the Flyers!
Then in the late 1980's we saw Larry Melnyk and Knuckles Nilan do just fine with Dave Brown and George McPhee kicked Tocchet's ass twice!
Christ between 1979 and 1986, the Rangers won 4 playoff series and the Flyers won 2!
That is a tough pill for Flyers fans to swallow and Gene Hart used to cry about it!
Have a Tastykake Gene as you take your dirtnap!

You think McPhee lost those fights? Hell Tocchet had blood all over the Garden as Hanlon was going nuts on the Rangers bench! Ole George was giving away 35 pounds and went toe to toe and landed the better punches!

The McPhee vs Tocchet fights:

Rick Tocchet vs George McPhee Mar 9, 1986 -...

George McPhee vs Rick Tocchet Mar 22, 1986 -...

Hardly ass kickings either fight.

Why not show the longer version where Tocchet is cut wide open and bleeding like a stuck pig and Hanlon is going nuts on the bench?
McPhee was injured with a bad hand and giving up 4 inches and 35 pounds and won both fights and also cut Tocchet bad in one of them!

Show us this version! Tocchet has a big cut over his eye and Adolf Hitler Keenan is pis*ed on the Flyers bench!
Just because Tocchet pushed McPhee against the boards at the end of fight doesn't mean that he won!

Jack, you lose credibility when you say stuff like this... McPhee may have been injured but he did well. Lots of guys fight hurt. As for the size difference, he did very well... But to say those were "ass kickings," or McPhee won both those fights isn't accurate. And Glen Hanlon going nuts really doesn't bother me or have anything to do with the fight result. As for the blood? Tocchet was always a bleeder, usually a couple fights a year. Jody Shelley is another guy that bleeds all the time. I called one fight an edge to McPhee and the other an edge to Tocchet. Since you like longer versions so much, check out the extended version of the other fight with McPhee's eye swelling shut.

Rick Tocchet vs George McPhee Rd 2 - Blackeye ...

McPhee landed around 10 rights to Tochett's 5 rights and won that fight also!
That's double the amount of punches!

If you say so Jack. Which guy was in the box with his eye closed shut?

Hey Rocky Marciano was like that almost every fight that he fought and yet retired 49-0!
It's about winning the fight right?
I think McPhee did excellent in both of those fights!
Hey we agree to disagree!
