The fact is that no one had as much consistency over such a long period of time. How many fights did he lose from the time he started with the Canucks to his last year with Washington? 15 at the most? Who else can say that? Nobody. Case closed.

His ownership of such overrated pieces of swill as McSorely, McCarthy, Ray, and Domi only further proves his case, and there were very few fighters in general that ever gave him trouble. There were some guys he should've owned and didn't (Dale Purinton immediately jumps to mind, for some reason Purinton was able to keep up with him for the most part). He also split an eight fight series with Probert, although it would have been interesting to see what. He ended up winning the series with BGL because Laraque was too damn nice for his own good. And even though Belak KO'd him Brash still easily won their series as well, which is something a lot of people conveniently forget.

Now, don't mistake me for a Brashear fanboy. I have never hated a fighter as much as him, and I can't recall ever rooting for him in a fight for his whole career. I can't decide who I hate more, his fans or him. Nevertheless, it is blasphemous to me to rank any fighter ahead of Brash.
Brashears and Belaks serie is quite even i say maybe Brashear won it but not sure still.
Great post by you!!
Surely Top5 guy but hard to say is he a number one all the time, maybe you are right dude.

There was a video clip posted not long ago here of a 2nd Belak win over Brash by KD/TKO. I also gave wade the edge in their first matchup while donald was in washington (vs Tor).

His strenght, hand speed and technic is something very good, particularly he was so so strong guy(strong as ox) and he has a fast hands too like on Laraque.
Two black great fighters.
Black guys rules.(:

He barely loss ever, and always showed his goodness even if most of his fights sucks because of his dull wrestling tactic.

The guy was very easy to dislike. He was the ultimate bully. If your team had noone to stand up to him, your team was in for a long night. He'd start taking liberties as soon as he got on the ice. After he gave a guy a beating you'd have to see him do his BS handwash. I always thought the guy was an ugly looking bully, but I had to respect his great fighting skills. To me. he was always the bad guy, the guy I wanted to get his ass kicked. I was most always disappointed because the guy's losses were few and far between. In alot of ways I'll miss the mean, ugly SOB.

They are maybe bullies on the ice but not outside of the rink as we have to remember this thing.
Hockey game is mean one but players are usually good persons, not bullies.
Maybe someone like Avery and Maltby are the bullies too outside of the rink but most of sportmen are good guys.

I don't know Brashear outside the rink. Inside the rink, the guy was definitely a bully. He's sucker punched guys. He's picked on weak guys as well as tough guys. If he's like most hockey players ,he's probably a real good guy outside the rink. However, inside the rink, the guy, more often than not, acted like a piece of sheet.

Brashear is a beast, and during his reign he was one of if not the best, period.

Below you will find a thorough synopsis of Brashear's fighting career. The results are listed by opponent and by date in alphabetical and time order. All of his wins, losses, and draws have been noted except for a couple that I wasn't able to find on tape, I listed them in italics - hopefully someone can help us figure out the results of those scraps. I figured that we can use this as a possible resource in the future as well, I will try and update it as often as possible.

One thing to note - for the sake of things, I didn't include preseason fights as I know that some people don't use them to tabulate rankings and other figures. There is a list of notable preseason fights at the bottom. I included the playoffs only because I would probably catch crap if I didn't include the Domi fight from '02. I also didn’t include fights in which Brashear jumped his opponent and only one guy received a fighting major or vice-versa – example: Kasparaitis, Laperriere.

Now I'm not that good at math, but if my calculations are correct, that would leave Brashear with an unofficial regular season record of approximately 90 wins, 16 losses, and 52 draws - pretty impressive in my book.

The point of this thread was to shed some new light on the man who is most likely the most hated and controversial fighter to ever step foot in the NHL. Through all of the negative comments about his fighting style, his personality, and the way he conducts himself on and off the ice, there is no denying that Brashear should and will go down in history as one of the greatest ever.

His fight card is stocked with premiere heavyweight fighters from three different generations. He has held his own with just about every single one of his opponents- garnering victories over most. Brashear's winning percentage is among the best in history. He has shown a perfect mix of power, speed, and strength that overwhelmed opponents for the last 12 seasons. Even though he may be considered a boring fighter in the long run, there is no denying that his strategy was an effective one and he was an extremely skilled fighter.

With Domi, Twist, and the other new generation fighters climbing the all-time rankings at a rapid pace, there is no doubt that Brashear will be right up there with them. In all honesty, it is very possible he may even crack the top 10.
Gotta disagree with some of those fight calls, The ones bolded are the ones I recall off hand that were draws IMO or a loss for Brash. I won't get into his style in itself....but I also know Simon KO'd him in the minors and McSorely KO'd him as well.

Come on man.

So anyone who disagrees with you or posts something you disagree with is an uneducated a$$hole? Really??

You can make your points without resorting to name calling. I guarantee you're not always right, no one is so just stop with the insults.
