Yea he fought most of them once or twice but if the others(the super heavies) had it their way? it would be more like 5 or 6 times they fought Brashear. If he was traded to Florida tommorrow?(hypothectically) you Philly guys wouldnt say another word about him, thats the funny part.

Why are we quibbling over Donald's fight card? Its light years better than that of anybody that fought in the 70s, particularly the big 5 - Nystrom, Fotiu, Wilson, Gillies, and Playfair - and probably stacks up comparably/favorably with just about anybody's all-time . . .

Ok Ewen , I'm waiting for you to turn into your 9%(bodyfat) alter ego any minute now, oh wait "Tugstar" doesnt post until after midnight.
Brashear's always been a spot picker no one should deny that, he made his rep on buggering old man Probert and a midget named Tahir, by this time next season, he'll probably be flipping burgers somewhere in the midwest.

Since Brashear has signed with the LNAH and it looks like his playing days in the NHL are over, I decided to finally update the first post in this thread. Added were results all the way back to 2005-06 as well as some newly found preseason fights and a couple regular season results. It looks like we have every result with the exception of a fight against Phil Crowe and a handful of preseason tilts.
It seems that a good amount of people have redone their Top 10 and 25 lists recently and Brashear has catapulted up the rankings in the eyes of many. I'm sure that this thread will only add to that number. After making the most recent additions, Brashear's unofficial NHL regular season and playoff record is now at 117 wins, 26 losses and 74 draws. Combine that with the results of known preseason fights and his record is boosted to 140-29-74. Amazing. |

While I appreciated Brash's play here in Philly, and he was a decent player and an excellent enforcer, I'll say this. He looked as different from his Montreal days to his Vancouver and after days as Twist did from his Quebec days to his St Louis days.

Great original post Gayc. I must have had my head up my ass when you did all of that work back in 2006 because I don't remember this thread. I'm too lazy to look to see if I posted in here previously or not.
Anyway, it is great to see Brash still wanting to play, even though more than likely he is done in the NHL. The old time guys are dwindling in numbers these days, and with him and Laraque leaving, they were easily the top 2 guys over the past decade. Like him or not, and he does have more than his fair share of haters, the guy has an impressive card and and even more impressive record. He handed out some monster beatings, and rarely lost. His card is a who's who of enforcers from the past 15+ years, and he beat most of them. He had a nasty attitude when he wanted too, spoke his mind, and could be just as much of a jerk off the ice. Either way, he is/was one of the last of the old school guys.

Brashear
The guy has a very impressive record. Although I always disliked tghe guy and thought he was an ugly looking creep, I have to give him his just due. The guy was an unbelievably great fighter.
