I wouldn't sweat it BBB. I'd say that Boobs and Srehm have a bigger obsession on you than you could ever have on Simon..... or Fotiu and Wilson for that matter. To Criticize someone for their top 10 lists after they put guys in that they probably never seen play more than a handful of times if ever is beyond pathetic.

What's your problem? I haven't taken any shots at you.
If you don't think that a huge part of Simon's career - the Washington years - isn't full of second tier guys and non fighting than I'm not sure you saw Simon's career. Feel free to add anything to the discussion.

Hahaha like bbbb ever saw Simon play! he didn't know he existed until he found that youtube clip of him fighting brown. It's all good but seriously just as bbbb likes to take shots at wilson or brown because of the love they get-simon is also fair game. The shoe is on the other foot now. Having simon at #2 all-time is fine. but I don't want to hear boo about any kind of backlash he gets on here for it. he has hundreds of threads sh!tting on Brown wilson and Kocur. Now he can sit back and watch hundreds of threads sh!tting on his guy. Fair is fair. there is no need to act like bbbb is being picked on considering the amount of propaganda he has spewed on here over the years.

while we are discussing simon: Are these bails or some kind of selective balance on simon's part? Brashear gets a lot of heat for bailing but Simon seems to have really made it an artform himself. Thoughts? Opinions? Oh and btw, I love Simon. I think he was a great fighter and is a bona fide top-20 guy in my book. Everyone is fair game on here. we discuss the good the bad and the ugly of every fighter here at RW.

Yes consider the source. The guy who has over 200 threads about Kocur, Wilson, Brown, and Fotiu on the books. All part of the record, right Cookie Monster?
You're awfully quick to point out the flaws with your annointed three. I guess you can't defend Simon, which is why you choose not to... Guy takes a paid seven year vacation essentially. Bails on a bunch of fights...Rather than address that you post the same 4 clips you've got saved and take the easy out. You'll have those clips wore out soon. It's always easier to accuse than defend. You'd have been great in the Inquisition. And again, Simon was a very good fighter. Upper echelon... But he isn't about the scrutiny you have REPEATEDLY dumped on this board of others.

'92/'93 Dan Kordic Claude Lemieux Brent Hughes Nothing worth noting there. ====================== '93/'94 Kelly Buchberger Lyle Odelein Mario Roberge Rick Tocchet Mike Hartman Adam Graves Greg Smyth Mike Peluso Steve Heinze Glen Featherstone Steve Thomas Nick Kypreos Dennis Vial Darin Kimble Some tougher competition than his first year, but certainly no killers on that list. There are some "game" names on there, but none of them were impact heavyweights in the division. I'd say Rick Tocchet is probably the toughest guy on the list (I'd take him in a 10 fight series over all those guys) and he dropped Simon in their fight.
================== '94/'95 Bill Huard Eric Lindros Phil Crowe Dennis Vial Dave Brown x2 Wayne Presley Grant Jennings Francois Leroux x3 Ben Hankinson Brent Severyn x2 Lyle Odelein Sure those bouts with Brown look great, but again, where is the serious competition after that? Padding your record with good but not great names doesn't make you a legend. ================ '95/'96 Doug Zmolek x2 Todd Harvey Cam Russell Kelly Buchberger Dennis Vial Tie Domi x3 Sandy McCarthy Dana Murzyn Jeremy Stevenson x2 Bob Probert Are we supposed to be impressed here? He pummled a worn out Probert, but absolutely pummled him nonetheless. I'll give him credit for that. What else though? A couple of wins against Tie Domi? The most serious threat Simon met up with that season was Sandy McCarthy, and McCarthy beat him.
========== And that's it. No really, that's it. Those are Simon's opponents through his badass Quebec/Colorado days. Not hard to be in a "class of his own" when he's fighting a bunch of opponents who are in a class of their own as well. That "class" is known as the second rate heavyweight class. Simon was a very good fighter, and his free-throwing lefty style was awesome to watch, but let's not get carried away here.

And yet you have been here 7 years and nobody even knows who you are. Irrelevance at it's optimal peak.
