Chris simon on Jarrko Ruutu, the old "saw his leg off" move was a memorable one.

a few observations from this video

an aging Cashman does a great job after the sucker punch....Jonathan looks pretty wide when the jersey is off...you notice the pre-weight room era build and he looks like a pit bull...natural build

I know its probably been talked about but where were Gillies, Nystrom, and O'Reilly??

I am guessing the reason Howatt reacted the way he did was out of frustration from watching Jonathan tune up his team mate...still a cheap shot but i get why it happened in the heat of the moment

did i mention yet how much i miss this era of hockey

Here's that Bure on Churla elbow. "The Mother of all Elbows." I love it...

One of the best cheapshots on a true cheapshot artist I recall off hand is when Tocchet one punched Baxter(Flames). Then whaled him another one in the ribs when he was down. Maybe not the cheapest shot I ever saw but the cheapest on a very cheap player in Baxter. Still always wondered how hard Tocchet hit him the first one. Baxter liked to play like he was hurt and lay on the ice sometimes especially if it saved him from a beating from a legit tough guy. To me Baxter has to rank right up their with all the other "kings" of being a cheapshot artist.

Here's the video on that one. They don't ever replay the first hit, but the second one in the ribs looks painful enough...
