Can you describe Hordichuk’style/approach to fighting?

You know I watched this clip of Hordi and came away thinking that this guy’s approach to fighting is extremely aggressive on the one hand, thoughtless on another, and yet seemingly controlled on the other. Hordi is a warrior and I do not know how long we will still get to enjoy him. So, not that this is a pre-mature eulogy but rather paying tribute to a guy that personifies “ballz to the wallz.” BTW: Can anyone post the clip of Hordi knocking down Laraque

Here is a fun clip that kinda exemplifies this guys tenacity

Darcy Hordichuk - The Toughest Saskatoon Blade of...

Of course here is the clip that really says it all about Hordi:

All out brawler, fun to watch. A heavyweight by default rather than size. He's always out-matched but always puts up a show anyway. Good player to have, sucks that this is the second lockout of his career, it wiped out a potential good year and another one here.

First thoughts that come to mind are sloppy but entertaining. Nothing wrong with that.

Sloppy is descriptive, almost a controlled sloppiness - i get your point

That's mainly what I see from him, off balance, flinging punches from all directions with both hands, wild swings, falling down a lot but he has done well with it, he turned it into a pretty good career but it helps that he's a good guy too, doesn't make waves, knows his role.

If I were grading him using my system, he'd get some low scores in a few categories and average to above average in others, he had good hand speed, decent power, and a decent chin and could throw with both hands.

He's almost like a drunk boxer. Fun to watch, isn't going to kill anyone in the heavyweight class but could hold his own and would scratch out a victory here and there. After a long career, he protects himself better also.

I've always liked Hordichuk. It seemed like he didn't care for his own well being and always wanted to put on a good show/ fight.

Hey! I don't care what people say about you - your all right - bingo! He is like a drunken fighter with a dash of coke/speed - I mean :Angels with Dirty Faces" I could see Hordi playing Cagney in a movie on Cagney's life - Yeah! How bout the poster child for the new flick - "Fools rush in where angels fear to tred?"

Another fighter that I put in the same class of the likes of Reid Simpson - not in the reckoning for the belt at any point in his career, but a solid, not-to-be-messed-with fighter who is high on entertainment. Anyone whose been around RW for a while knows how highly I think of Simpson, so a definate compliment there.
