Actually, Springfield, Vermont is a fairly large town (in terms of VT). They use to be, probably 30 years ago, one of the biggest cities in Vermont. There were a lot of machine shops and that sort of stuff. It is also home to a real solid fishing spot along the CT River.

According to my sources, Springfield, NH is 44 sq miles. There are a few which are A LOT smaller.
