That would be up to everyone to Vote on I guess. I guess that Jo trading coud still be factored in. You know he wants Clark so you can take him and trade him for more later.

I think if we wanted to do older players, we should just choose or assign say, the 1997 Flyers or the 1994 Penguins as our teams. A draft would be difficult because it would take a while for everyone to get his picks in, and may spoil the rest of the game because the draft took too long or was more interesting than the trading.

What do other people think?

I think a draft defeats the purpose of the game. Very few trades will take place because people are gonna get a lot more guys they wanted than if everyone started from scratch

Need about eight more players here at least.

How long do think the game will last?

I would be in, but I will be very slow on answering trade requests etc. because of the time difference between NA and Europe. If that is accepted and ok for everyone I'll sign up too.

The game usually lasts around 20 days if I remember right. I'm sure you'll be fine.

How do we decide a winner? Last one I was in, I think we just voted at the end on who had the best team, toughest team, etc.

Just wondering cuz if we used real player stats, we may be fucked.

Ya, I'm also for current rosters.

Yep, it's all done via voting. You just can't vote for yourself. That's the only rule if I remember right.

Anyone else want to get in on this? Still need a handful of players.

How do we decide the teams? There's a difference between someone who gets a boosted team like the Rangers and someone who gets a screwed team like the Canadiens.

Typically teams are randomized by whoever sets up the game by using a list generator or something like that. Yes, it gives players with better teams the advantage up front, but the game is based on how much you improve your team, so you can still win even if you start with a team that's already good. We've seen good teams actually get worse, too.

Also, in the past we've had guys end up with like, Malkin, Ovechkin, Lecavalier, St. Louis, and Iginla on the same team. That won't be possible now with a salary cap on this game, so it should even out the playing field a little more. Basically, winning this game just comes down to how good of a team you piece together.

Do we have enough people? 11 seems kinda light... That's not even a page of rosters.
