Zenon Konopka a winner on and off the ice

Another thing that I really find appealing about Konopka is that if any other hockey player looks at him crossways, or looks at one of his teammates crossways, he will drop his gloves and try to smack that look off the guy's face.

I'm sure he drinks beer and liquor as well... it's not uncommon for hockey players (or men in general) to be into wine making as a hobby

Wine drinking, and especially, knowing enough about wine to get into the industry, doesn't jump out as something he'd be into. This is the guy who talks about the Royal Rumble while out on the ice....

I see what you are saying but he's from Europe dude. It's not like North American where beer is what the good ol fashioned guy drinks. Wine is also cheap as hell and very popular.

We've seen time and time again that tough guys on the ice can be very different on the ice. Even look over to MMA where these trained killers are college educated and very intelligent.

*Edit* just googled the guy, he's from Canada...my bad. He is of Polish descent though and my point still makes sense. Europeans drink a lot more wine then we do here.
