I find it pretty hypocritical that some of you so called hockey fight fans hate one of the most entertaining and antics filled guys this league has had in the last 20 years. More Sean Averys is what this league needs, not some more boring Euro wusses that no one will ever remember.

I kind of miss the guy , he brough something to the ice and off the ice we dont see every day , he was an a$$hole and acted out the part where ever he went , we just dont get to see that in sport every day , the Averys and that guy that used to play tennis (Mack something or other) just are good print for the papers , they made life intresting and sold papers ....

Saw this while reading men's fitness yesterday. Ugh! Rather see him on the ice in a Rangers uniform stirring up some trouble instead of Aaron Asham. At least Sean had some skill. He could easily be on the 2nd line instead of gaying it up in magazines. OH WELL....

Not sure but think he was on MTV's The Real World

I am with the folks who think he, on the whole, made the NHL more interesting.

All the best.

Granted he was at the heart of some of the best rivalries. But he's gotta pay at some point with a major beatdown worthy of all his antics.

As much crap as he started he was actually a pretty good player and should still be playing. He got black balled by the NHL for being an ahole. Like somebody mentioned he was kinda like Johnny Mac in tennis. People loved to hate him but he put fannies in the seats.
