What's up with this guy, is he preparing for a second career in politics? If I'd just shafted my team by taking a year's vacation I'd be trying to stay well below the radar.

Well the linked CBC article locked out the comments pretty quick, I expect we'll see the same here.

I can't get too excited about gay marriage one way or the other, but Timmie Thomas is getting on my nerves.

Who the **** cares? I mean really, who the **** cares what a pro hockey player thinks about gay marriage? Is it really going to change anything? Is it really going to matter?

It'd be nice if the media would treat it like everyone else's opinion - and not care.

I agree with you to a point BUTTTTT......These stories make money or they wouldn't keep writing them...the media iniates the stories sure but the masses keep eating it up like tasty chicken.

Who gives a **** about Tim Thomas. I stand with the companies decision to say its against gay marriage in the sense they can say it, who gives a ****. If you're looking for chick-fil-a to accept you as a person and build your confidence or self esteem up, you're ****ed to begin with.

It would be ironic that when "god's judgement" comes (per Chick-fil-a's owner), a greedy, entitled, and selfish pro athlete probably won't meet up to said greedy, entitled, and selfish corrupt business owner's idea of who his god is out to favor.

I know this guy helped the Bruins win a Stanley Cup... but seriously, f*ck this guy. I thought Curt Schilling was the biggest blow-hard in Boston sports history, but Thomas is pretty damn close.

Brian Burke would say he's a right-wing nut. Why do the media even cares what a hockey player thinks of some issue anyway? They clearly aren't smarter than most normal people.
