The clock incident was reviewed and nothing came from it. The Staples clock recalibrated it's self to get the whole 20 mins in the period. There was an investigation and nothing came of it. They even went back and looked at the whole period and the end time was right.

This wasn't the first time this has happened. It just happened at the pond as well.

they can't suspend him since it's not a suspendable offense in the rulebook. worst it could have been a 2 minute penalty for too many men... so lets start suspending people because refs missed a too many men call? holy hell has this site gone super soft.

to suspend for this which would be a 2 MINUTE PENALTY would be akin to suspending someone because the ref missed a tripping call. holy **** people are such babies.

I did say it was a cheap move. But I said, he should have owned up to it. He lied afterwards, that's where I have an issue.

No whinning here, I didn't create this thread. I even said in the team forums and game thread, the Kings don't need to look much further than themselves, if they want to know why they lost.

Quick was not Quick last night and he also took a stupid penalty at the end of the second period. But that's been Quick's problem since he became the Kings #1, plays great in the regular season and then doesn't show up for the games that count at the end and in the playoffs.

Gary Bettman, on his TV/radio show yesterday, was asked directly about the incident — by a blog reader, no less — and basically said the league has no idea what happened that night. Bettman did, however, toss out the little nugget that the clock operator from that night is no longer working the clock at Staples Center. Why didn’t Bettman note that the operator is a league employee? And why even bring it up, unless there’s a shred of evidence of wrongdoing? That was very poor. So, the point is, it’s difficult to blame people who will draw parallels, given that the league can’t — or won’t — give a coherent explanation.

So I guess the league didn't accept staple center's investigation on what happen to the Clock. I stand corrected. But no explanation for the Ducks clock or other times it has happened at Staples, from buttman?

Per reports in the San Jose Mercury News and on Yahoo Sports, San Jose’s Ryane Clowe will not face any supplemental discipline for interfering with play from the bench last night. The Mercury News also noted that there isn’t expected to be any supplemental discipline for any of the hits in last night’s game, including those by Kyle Clifford and Colin Fraser.

Linesmen have a whistle and can reccomend a call.

They also take care of the too many men penalties I thought.

I may be wrong about that, but with the positioning of officials during play, too many men for example when line changes occur would rarely if ever get called.
