A seventh round selection (208th overall) by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Rufenach played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Clarkson University. Rest in peace, way too young to go.
On a side note, I just don't get people thinking it is a good idea to touch power lines. I've seen someone do it and get electrocuted then pass away a few days later, and also went to school with 2 kids who grabbed power lines and both have severe scars for life. The first guy was a middle-aged adult, and the two guys I went to school with were about 10 and 5 or 6 years old at the time. Either way, it is a shame.
