NHL players want to distribute a list of divers

Lots of people on this board know I really like/d Jarkko Ruutu. Guy was a prima Donna diver, though. You put a guy like him on an official "divers" list? Trip him every. Single. Time. Why wouldn't you? You know he's not getting a call.

I don't think the players bringing embellishment to the league's attention are trying to be that extreme about it. They've got to know the league isn't going to publish any kind of list. But by bringing up the subject with the league, they ARE creating awareness and concern that embellishing has gotten way out of control to where it occurs several times a game. Referees need to be trained to spot it, and they need to have the balls to call it. The rats will complain they're being targeted for diving, but they're also the first ones exchanging high fives on the bench with their teammates after they draw a call. In hockey, you reap what you sow.

Who on the Penguins besides Crosby (Not much anymore), Malkin (He usually just takes a stupid penalty), and Letang (only legit one right now)?

SL, I'm pretty damn sure you're just trying to fit in and just join the hate parade on the Penguins. You were never like that before and you just continue to make yourself look like a total fool.


With that being said, Brayden Schenn should be on there. I like the Schenn brothers, but man, does he dive or what?

This is pretty dumb. Why not just tell the refs to call things properly? And as everyone knows, the team you dislike the most has the most divers on it.

Too true. Give the diver his penalty and don't call the original "trip". Or give the diver a couple extra. I admit the two sides have bigger fish to fry at the moment but hell, nail the divers.

Call the hooking/trip then give the diver a 2min diving + 2min unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

All the NHL needs to do is enforce their own ****ing rules. Penalize the diver(s). It is pointless to make a list of "divers". What's next, a list of players that hook? slash? fight? skate backwards? Dumb.
