Can ANYONE actually give me 1 legit reason to think Wahlberg would beat Domi??

Is there video of him taking punches??

Is there video of him Fighting in any situation other than a movie??

Tie is a legit Badass and he's still in great condition, even at 43 you would be suprised what some people can do athleticly.....

I know they're friends and some people think "any press is good press" but he was kind of rude saying what he said to Tie to get it all started, even as a joke, Domi's pounded people for less.

Gotta say I agree with 2,5, 10 here. Ties a professional fighter and has traded punches with some bad ass punchers for over 15 years. Wahlbergs got some street experience and some boxing TRAINING. I seriously doubt any hit harder than Probert, Simon, Laraque, Brahear etc..

I would Also agree that size would play a major role. Domis neck and head are way thicker. Factor in Domi's a southpaw and the funky bunch is is back together on Queer Street .

A former teammate who was a career minor leageuer and one tough SOB. ALthouh Not that big he got a cup of coffe in the NHL. I saw this guy take on all comers and win, drop and surprise some big guys. Well no doubt he would try Domi if he got the chance, domi obliged . The fight was short and not great. He told another teammate that when Domi grabbed on he couldn't believe the strength domi had. Unquestionably the strongest guy he ever fought.

That's the thing.... Domi is a great HOCKEY fighter. In a boxing match, there is no grabbing on with one hand and punching with the other. There's defense, head movement, footwork etc. It's a completely different animal. Now I'm not saying that an actor with limited training could beat him in a ring, but a trained boxer would most likely beat him, and Domi would wreck hi m in his "house". The overall point being that just because you are good at one "type" of fighting, that doesn't mean you are good at every type of fighting.

Rondo you are a smart man.....

A trained Boxer beats his Novice opponent every time unless hit with a "lucky punch", who would argue that?? But show me video of Wahlberg legitimately fighting in the ring and then all you guys have an argument......

Actually most "Hockey Fighters" DO TRAIN in BOXING.....

And Tie is a special athlete, he was the fastest skater on the Leafs at one point, he can kick a 40 yard Field goal and he could have chosen Soccer as his pro sport.....he can adapt, that is a fact....

And besides's if Manny Paquio can fall for the "step on your foot trick"? thats all Tie has to do, step on Marky's foot and throw the same left he KO'ed Sammuelsson with.

is it out of the realm of possibility that Marky Mark can handle himself?

No but he's up against a proven sporting legend, I dont like his chances if this was the real deal........but we all know Tie wouldnt want to mess up his movie star buddies face.......although I would pray for the opposite. Wahlberg called him out, I sent Tie a message telling him what I think he should do, I can only hope he will answer the bell.

You are hung up on the particulars- that this is pro athelete Tie Domi vs Mark Wahlberg the actor- whereas my point isn't about the parties involved, but the theory so to speak. Can we agree that fighting on ice ( hockey fighting) is a different thing technically than boxing in a ring? Many hockey fighters may train in boxing, agreed, but how much technique is actually applied once a hockey fight gets going?

Tie looks a little doughie in the middle, lol.

Boxing is all about cardio, when hockey fights are all about a few minutes of fury. Plus Domi has t-rex arms, not good for boxing.

In an actual boxing match I can't see Domi winning. On the ice, or a street fight Tie wins.

Tie is still in very good shape, a baggy t-shirt doesnt show the truth.....

Agree 100% with what you are saying. I've seen it where a tough hockey player picked a fight with a street thug with some boxing backround and he destroyed the hockey player. (this hockey player was big but not nearly as tough as he thought he was).

My argument is strictly Domi vs. Wahlberg.
