Tie Domi needs to fight Jim McKenzie before he fights Mark Wahlberg.

I'll commment as if this is real.

Everybody is writing off Wahlberg...but who knows if Domi still has "it". Sure, one of the fiercest hockey players ever but he's must have lost power and resistance to being punched. I would like to see this, actor vs hockey legend.

The problem I see with this if it was supposed to be an exhibition for charity is guys like Domi have a hard time competing at 1/2 speed. They are too intense to take a punch and laugh it off.
Marky Mark would get killed.

Saw his place on Million Dollar Rooms, he's got all the equipment to train for any fight and the ability to bulk up.

Off the ice Tie would fukking annihilate Wahlberg, not even close, I'd give him 30 seconds tops BUT I have no idea how Tie is in the ring nor do I have a clue if Wahlberg has any skills, my betting would be that Tie could absorb any punch he took from Mark with a Boxing glove on, who am I kidding?? I'd pick Domi over him in the ring too........

That last video clearly shows Marky's "pencil neck", not good for taking blows.

That's dumb but if Domi hits with the left bye bye! I'd imagine Marky Mark has been in street fights at some point in time but has he ever had a professional fight?

There's no spin cycle in the boxing ring..so at least there'd be that going for Mark

Wahlberg had been in trouble 20–25 times with the Boston Police Department in his youth. By age 13, Wahlberg had developed an addiction to cocaine and other substances. At fifteen, he harassed a group of black school children on a field trip by throwing rocks and shouting racial epithets. At 16, Wahlberg approached a middle-aged Vietnamese man on the street and, using large wooden stick, knocked him unconscious (while calling him "Vietnam ****ing ****"). He also attacked another Vietnamese man, leaving him permanently blind in one eye.

For these crimes, Wahlberg was charged with attempted murder, pleaded guilty to assault, and was sentenced to two years in state prison at Boston's Deer Island House of Correction, of which he served 45 days. In another incident, the 21-year-old Wahlberg fractured the jaw of a neighbor in an unprovoked attack.

Dirk Diggler takes Domi easily

Does anyone know if Domi can box? I'm not saying Wahlberg does but I have seen guys that can street fight get picked apart by someone that knows the fundamentals of boxing.

By the way, I didn't read anything about a boxing challenge, just a sparring session. There's a big difference. Unless the writer of the article is incorrectly using the terms interchangeably.

My guess is he does...He use to co own a Gym in Toronto with Lennox Lewis...even if he doesnt?? he has power and can take a punch to go along with his being a 'natural athlete', with even 10 weeks with a good trainer?? I cant see why he wouldnt win.......according to some people, Marky Mark "has skills", the Ward brothers said this, but then again "No Bruin has ever lost a fight", neither has anyone from Boston.

I've never seen Wahlberg in any kind of real fight BUT have seen Domi in well over 300 hockey fights and have heard from very reliable sources that he has owned some rather tough, much bigger men on concrete.

Looks like Wahlberg should get an Oscar because he has sold some people that he is "The Fighter".......I say "bring it on man".

How can you possibly know this?

While no one will ever doubt or question Domi's strength or hockey fighting skills. One has to remember that a hockey fight, and a street fight or boxing match are way different. There is no shirt to hold onto where boxing is concerned, nor is there any spinning of an opponent. I would also question whether or not Domi would have the conditioning to last more than a few rounds.
