The list is ****ing terriable, and filled with stupid choices.

I find it hard to believe that if the ducks wanted to get rid of Cogliano they couldn't trade him. Same with Matt Stajan and Calgary.

Why would the bruins buy out Tim Thomas when he's got one year left and most likely going to be traded to a team that needs to get to cap floor.

They want Colorado to buyout one of the best players in team history who only has one year left on his current deal.

They say Nashville should dump Kostitsyn because his brother is an idiot, and Phoenix should get rid of Raffi Torres because he's serial offender.

Cherry picking this one. Does the cap take the same hit if you buy someone's contract out? That could be a reason. I think you seriously overestimate how many teams need to get to the cap floor. I think the Islanders are really the only one; it's not coming up as much as you think.

And how would they trade for him? He said he's not playing. Good luck trading for a goalie that's adamant on sitting out the season!

i think it's more the three-year deal part of the contract which would lead to him being bought out...considering the cap will be going down most likely in '13-14.
