There is pressure for them to make the playoffs and do good in the playoffs, just head into the Preds topic. As for Toronto having pressure the only other place I can think of is Montreal where the pressure is greater. At the same time though, it is a little bit crazy that people put their whole lives into ANY team that they cheer for.

I love my Penguins and Thrashers to death, but I'm not going apesh!t and calling for someone's head if they miss the playoffs. Would it be a disappointment if either team missed the playoffs, sure, but life goes on.

I'm thinking it's because of all the season tickets being sold in Hamilton.

They had no problem when they lost AND didn't fight filling the place at ridiculous prices, what're they , anti-fighting?
How quickly people forget. In the late 90's and early 2000's the Leafs were both a playoff team and a fighting team. I'd be ticked off too if my team stopped winning, no matter how many times a year they fought. After awhile "well at least we won the fights" gets pretty old, no matter what web site you're on.

It's closer to a 50:50 shot to win the fights but it's a 1:30 shot to win the Cup. I choose fights. Season tickets please.
