LA Kings suffering from swine flu?

This has to suck. Over half the team has Flu like symtoms. Doesn't take long for the other half to get it.

Quote:
DALLAS - Game-to-game changes in the NHL are typically incremental. It’s usually one No. 6 defenseman for another, a fourth-line center to the third line, or the like.

Maybe not with the Kings on Monday. Coach Terry Murray, still steaming after Saturday night’s loss at Columbus, said Sunday that he was mulling over plans to make significant lineup changes before Monday night’s game against the Dallas Stars.

Might a veteran player get demoted from a prominent position, or even end up as a healthy scratch? Murray said he hadn’t decided what to do, and his decisions could be influenced by the health of the team. Approximately half the team has flu-like symptoms.

I knew that 5 were playing sick yesterday, I didn't know it was this bad. Half the team? wow!

Just sub in the Manchester Monarchs for a couple games. Westgarth, Bagnall, and Clune should make things just as interesting.

This 'swine flu' thing is a joke.
They've got 5 guys with the flu.

Happens to every team b/c the game of ice hockey is played at the height of the flu season.

Do you guys remember the Bird Flu, SARS, the AVIAN Flu, Mad Cow Disease etc...?
I know, I know..."I know a friend of a friend of a friend, who's mom's uncles dad died of SARS."

Exactly, people get all up in arms over the swine flu, and it's been proven to not even be as bad as the good old fashioned plain old flu.

Every team every year ends up going through a run where the flu hits them.

Coyotes have it as well. Doan played through it against the Bruins, had 3 assists.

We had a team play a game last week (OHL junior "A") the Belleville Bulls , that had 15 players plus the coach George Burnett with the flu play a game or I should say try to play , they lost big to a team they handled easily early in the season , George said he had never seen that many players sick at the same time ...

Good. Westgarth should get a callup now.

Friend of mine talked to Zeiler and says that it isnt swine that it's just the flu. None the less there are alot of guys sick and Eklund says that Frolov is a healthy scratch when in fact he is suffering from the flu. Jackass.

You hear about nearly every team getting hit with "flu like symptoms" at some point during a season. This is not news.

The swine flu as the title was a joke.

of BC school kids getting the flu right now , 90% are testing positive for swine flu

family doctors aren't even getting enough test kits to properly keep track fully

i've got it, too

not the worst flu i've ever had for head aches or fever , but the bronchial cough and congestion are def the worst i can remember

easy to see why it's killing folks with emphysema or at the tail end of cancer chemo treatments , etc

our brilliant leaders plan is to hope we run through it a few times BEFORE

the Olympics in February. our vaccination programmes have been delayed until November , to help with that aim
