That's your basis for being Quebec? He lived with a foster family when he was 8 there his ****ing nationality is American he is not Quebeci

He moved at 3 years old, didn't accept his mother and new stepfather as his parents so he had to be moved in a foster home at the age of 8.

And yes it is my basis. Nationality is some bureacratic paperwork that's not important when you're talking about a culture, Donald Brashear simply was raised in Quebec with the language, the values and the morals going (you must know the basics of sociology to understand that, and I understand you didn't went too far at school, so).

Id bet if you asked him, he'd say he is from Quebec. I also bet that if he stayed in Indiana he would not have played hockey. Really, you people are clutching at straws.

Brashear is french. Plain & simple. So are the Roberge brothers and countless other tough guys. Just accept it, and move on.

Some are sure, but not all. This is a wide sweeping generalization that is not very accurate.

Keith[English], Gudbranson[Swedish?] and Toews [German] are certainly at least half non-French.

Welcome to Canada, eh? This is what "multiculturalism" does.

You answered to your own comment.
It's all about mixing the two canadian cultures. In Canada, the name doesn't say it all, above all if you live in Manitoba, Saskatchewan or Alberta.

It's amazing just how far the americans will go to try and make it so that their nation has produced some sort of toughness. They gotta try and take from us in order to do so.

It's like trying to compare the toughness of Modano to "the rocket". Even our stars are plain tougher.

You will attemt to mimic our style of play and yet do not have the horses to carry it out.

Just seriously, name me some tough guys from america. I'll name you a league of tough guys from here. 350 million people and yet you produce so much soft baby wipe ****.

Going to try and diffuse this stupid USA vs. Canada BS right now...

We don't have the same hockey culture that Canada has had. It's as simple as that. Fighting is banned at most levels, and physical play in general is frowned upon. I'm sure you know this, but again, you're getting caught up in this dumb as fukk pissing match over whose country is better.

It might have been a usa vs canada debate had they been able to realize there's no difference from quebec and the rest of the country except the language amongst the population.

Alas, I wasn't caught up in anything other then their own ignorance.

Back to the original topic, what kind of "bonus" is not having any high-level hockey being played in North America AT ALL? Flower Man is on crack.
