The guy who got the penalty for embellishing went to the box for acting, making a mockery of the sport, and will have it pointed out to him in front of everyone watching.
I agree. What we all assume to be dives are not always dives. Sometimes when you are moving at 25 mph on 1/8" blades twisting, turning, reaching etc, it doesn't take a full on collision with a Mack truck to knock you down. It may look like a guy went down easy but maybe he was already off balance before that guy gave him a little hook on the waist and, although it didn't look like much, that was enough to send him down

Thorts, please don't let the Schnozz's play influence you. You are way too respected to be flopping around like Marchand.

HaHa, that vid is priceless. Bruins need to clean up their own actors before they flap their gums about anybody else. Thornton, you were god awful in your acting debut, don't quit your day job. Pathetic and sad at the same time.

That video is hilarious, when they spliced it with Jack Edwards being the little dweeb he is for Thornton's flop...

I never thought I'de see Thornton dive like that, hopefully the Scott fight didn't change his perspective on the game where he thinks that is acceptable.

That video seemed to focus on recent dives by the Bruins, so it didn't show one of the most flagrant acting jobs I've ever seen by Zdeno Chara a few seasons ago when Jokinen tapped his ankle and Chara pretends his leg is broken. I won't post it in here (unless someone tries to dispute it), but it was very Ribiero-esque.

The Habs do dive, but it seems like Julien is just trying to find a scapegoat.

Julien does look like an idiot here calling the Canadiens out. Every team has guys who dive. Even the immortal Flyers have had players who dive

Claide giroux embellishment - YouTube

Pens Flyers, Scott Hartnell takes HUGE dive (HD,...

Scott Hartnell Diving - YouTube

Dan Carcillo embellishment! - YouTube

Flyers get the call vs Islanders on a most...

I hated the way marchand played last year... diving and calling other players out for the same stuff he did...

but most of the dives (from the video) were last year. Julien gave him a message and demoted him to the 4th line (he didn´t like the way marchand played). This season (so far) he´s not diving at all (and I hope it stay´s that way)...

Every team has a guy that dives or that is prone to doing it from time to time. every team. i remember seeing hartnell dive for philly and i couldn't believe a team with the kind of tradition of toughness and physical play would allow a guy to dive like that. Or the Bruins with Marchand. Welcome to today's NHL, I guess. The difference to me is that the bruins are a tough team that fights and plays a physical game. if a guy dives here or there, so be it. every team does it. The difference is that MTL dives as part of an organizational philosophy. that is truly embarrassing.

Sadly, the officials are absolute idiots for falling for it.

Wasn't there a list put together of divers and other assorted embellishers during the LOOOOONG off season? i thought they were going to crack down? No?

As horrible as the Bruins power play has been under Julien, I can't imagine why they'd want to be on one.

Funny, you could make a video that long of Canucks and Habs flopping around after just 1 shift.

None of those clips are from this year, and are selectively picked from a previous seasons. I mean you could make a feature length film of embellishing just from the Kovalev&Riberio era.

Ironic that Flyers fans call out the Bruins when they have a guy named Claude Giroux in their own backyard. Watch some of those clips.

****, Seguin embellished on sunday after the cross check. It's like Nilan said, back in the day he as well as others got cross checked in that section constantly while in front of the net, over and over and over.....this guy falls down and takes a shift off then comes back flying about nearly scoring.

And on the radio today we totally owned some Bruins blogger when he decided to come on. The guy said the Habs organization has a history of this and listed something from Ribeiro about 7 years ago. The guys say you've got a short version of history, because the Habs aren't known for diving, but rather winning. Guys like Beliveau and Richard...beating up the broad street bulies in the 70's to end their reign..every team has a few guys who have been weasels...Habs have had them, as have the Bruins.

The funny thing about Julien and his comments is that Ribeiro did that stunt when Julien was around, as did Kovalev embellishing. So Julien is just saying what Neely and co want him to say.

I'm embarrassed when a Bruin takes a dive. I don't think they have someone who is consistent at it where Montreal has Subban who seems to dramatize every time he's hit.
