Brett Hull's Zezel Comment

"Peter was a special guy and I'd give back every goal I ever scored to have him with us today", very classy Brett, Amen brother.

He just said this on HNIC, which is honoring this years HOF inductees.

As much flack as he gets for speaking his mind, I've always found Brett Hull to be pretty bang on and honest with his comments. What a classy thing to say, and a great honour for a fallen teammate.

That comment doesn't surprise me. He is a class act. I just wish he hadn't left the Blues the way he did. But then again he wouldn't have a Stanley Cup ring.

Interesting...
Zezel was a special player... that was admirable for Hull to say.

The whole segment is good, but the Zezel stuff starts at around the 6:00 mark.

I give him even more credit for carrying on even though he was obviously sick and taking crap for the effects of it. That's a REAL tough guy, mentally tough. I always like Zezel ever since I saw him in Youngblood.

I always liked Zezel when he was a Flyer who's best year with them would have been 86-87 when he had 33 goals - 39 assists for 72 points and was a +21. I was very sad to hear that he passed. Also very nice of Brett Hull to say the things he did and he was right, Zezel along with Derek Smith were great grinders for the Flyers in the mid 80's. I'll leave the other stuff alone.

Here is a little tribute video of Zezel, you may want to mute the first part because the music is really bad but at the end they show Petes first NHL goal with play by play by Bobby Taylor.
