Adrian Dater Calls Out Fehr and Players

The players have been griping at how fast the NHL shut down the preseason, that it showed bad faith in negotiations, etc. Well, the players sure have been fast in jumping off to Europe to sign contracts there, haven’t they? So much for those shots of Donald Fehr with 300 players behind him in union solidarity.
Now, players’ message to their union brethren seems to be: every man for himself. What happened to all that solidarity, the fighting for the common player, the “little guy?” Yeah, Joe Thornton and Rick Nash showed how much they care about the little guys among NHL union ranks, by running off to Switzerland last month for top dollar, living in a chalet in the Alps.
Lord knows I and other hockey media have hurled an S storm at the owners and Gary Bettman so far over this lockout. But now it’s time for Donald Fehr and the players to take some heat.
