Zac Rinaldo Suspended Two Games
NEW YORK - Philadelphia Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo has been suspended for two games, without pay, for a charging incident in which he launched himself to hit Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson during NHL Game #829 in Detroit on Sunday, Feb. 12, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, and based on his average annual salary, Rinaldo will forfeit $5,885.88. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

The incident occurred at 13:25 of the first period. Rinaldo was assessed a minor penalty for charging.

Now onto the actual topic at hand, I didn't view this hit as dirty, except for Rinaldo leaving his feet. I'm sure Shanahan delivered checks like that when he played... dumb. Shouldn't have been a suspension

Basically, the NHL has had enough of Rinaldo running around, and will do whatever it takes to to either get him out of the league or tone his act down.

lol the NHL is such a joke at this point. Can't wait for another lock out next year. Hopefully it stays locked out for good.

It's not even a minor penalty. I can't believe this league.

He could have DESTROYED Ericsson if he wanted to... that was ridiculously tame to get two games.

I think the two minute penalty for a charge was fair. However I didn't even think about it being a suspension. **** is just getting laughable.
