I also wonder about Godard just because of his 1-way.

Dallas Stars traded Krys Barch mid-season because they knew that Eric Godard would play in the NHL next year.

how can you say that godard is a guaranteed lock? if you think it's because of his one-way deal, you're nuts. he wasn't even called up when the team needed his toughness this season...along with not doing much to warrant a spot next season.

the barch trade had nothing to do with it either

Nah, Barch's contract was ending.

Godard was signed to a 2-way for the first year specifically because of Barch, the second year is 1-way because Barch would be gone no matter what.

Absence

Goddard, Orr, Scott all the big heavyweights are history, soon we will all be looking back on the days of the Superheavyweights with fondness and memory...

Orr,Parros, Thornton, Barch, Kassian, even Erskine all seem pretty decent to me. They are no worse out there than freakin John Mitchell for the Rangers IMO. I think Scott, Mac, and Shelley are brutal and I could play better hockey than them as much as it pains me to say it, its true, and I dont see them having a future after a year or 2 if not sooner.

I have solid info on this subject......Orr WILL get every chance under Randy Carlyle next season to be the Leafs enforcer...Carlyle reportedly "Loves" Orr but (and very understandedly so) thinks every other guy on the team "are pu$$ies"........I expect many new faces next season and also have a juicy bit of info regarding the team.....

Sometime around Christmas time, someone on the roster "screwed another players wife" and it led to a "division of the room"......this is the BIGGEST REASON the Leafs imploded in the second half, half the team hated the other half.

This is going to come out in the media soon.
