I'm listening good things I'm hearing. It sucks we lost Weller but Fedoruk is better.

Yeah I caught it. Some good, candid commentary.

As for Weller in Minnesota, I think Wild fans will be pleasantly surprised. He works hard, definitely hits, and is a very good #2 fighter to have. The main problem in Phoenix is he was looked at as the #1, and that's just not what he is. And to be honest I'm not even sure if it's an ability thing as much as a lack of willingness, but either way it is what it is. In all honesty I would look at him and Fedoruk as very similar at this stage in their careers. The main difference is Fedoruk has more of an edge to him.

Well shiit hordi you were spot on then. Straight from DM's mouth. "Ross is not ready, not yet" He even said something about putting back in juniors.

Not to sound like an arrogant prick but it doesn't surprise me. I've seen plenty of Nick Ross over the last few years. So I was basing that opinion on first hand experience.

I honestly think one more year in Kamloops is best for Ross. As I mentioned in the past he does have the tools to be a good professional player. But I have to question his work ethic. Sometimes it just seems like his head and heart isn't in the game. Ross could probably be fine in San Antonio next season but having one final season in juniors certainly wouldn't hurt him, IMO.

Weller will be VERY busy in the North"pest" division. And with Darcy Tucker joining the ultra pest crew shaping up in Colorado, he better be ****ing ready.

One more tough forward or tough blue liner, and I think the grit department will be set.

Obviously losing Voros and Fridge hurt, but hopefully guys like Cal Clutterbuck, Petr Kalus, or even Eric Reitz provide a bit more toughness to the lineup.

If you are looking to Petr Kalus for the toughness in your lineup, all I have to say is good luck to you sir.

Weller was signed for 2 years worth $600,000 a year.

Maloney mentioned that Ross is already out here at the Athletes Performance Institute (which is where a lot of the top athletes train) on his own dime, so hopefully he realizes that and will take the necessary steps to turn it around. Doesn't necessarily mean it will translate in the game, but it's good to see he's making an effort.

That's good to hear. I just know that in juniors there are times he looks very solid and very motivated. On the flip side there are many times he looks lazy and uninterested. So hopefully this experience has given him some extra motivation.

Solid move by the Wild. Weller provides some grit to fill in for all of the guys departing.
