SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Danny Irmen from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Irmen, 24 (9/6/84), has eight points (4-4=8) and 25 penalty minutes in 45 games for the Aeros this season. In three-plus seasons in Houston, the 6-foot, 190-pound native of Fargo, N.D., has 70 points (31-39=70) and 121 penalty minutes. Irmen was Minnesota’s third-round pick (No. 78 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Irmen played college hockey at the University of Minnesota. Irmen, who has not appeared in an NHL game, will wear sweater No. 14 with the Wild.

Its an emergency basis, if Andrew Brunette can't play with a ****ed up knee. He's trying to make it to the all star break and get some rest... tough to do on back to back games.

I expect to see Danny get sent back down either by the end of the night or by morning.

they should atleast get there money out of the call up. they shouldve called up scott and made him play 4th line opposite boogaard for some extra muscle

I agree completely. They had said if Brunette wasn't able to play last night, that Reitz would have played forward, so why not call up John Scott and have a "Double Super Heavy" forward line?

no they dont. ballard is really the only one that will dance on occasion and hell thats not even that often either.

You will never see me say no to that.

I'd love to see little John get brought back up... but, that is VERY unlikely. Erik Reitz will be floating around the rest of the year, and Kurtis Foster is going to be coming back in the near future... which means, well, someone's getting das boot.

It'd be nice to see both John Scott and Riley Emmerson get brought up.

isn't Kassian still Wild property? no one is asking for him to be called up which i find interesting. i know he hasn't been tearing it up, but he is a solid HW!
