Wild Recalls Erik Reitz

Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled D Erik Reitz from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) under emergency conditions.

Reitz, 25 (7/29/82), has posted 34 points (8-26=34) for the Aeros - fourth on the team in scoring despite being limited to 49 games due to injury. He ranks second among Aeros defensemen in plus-minus at plus-11. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Detroit, Mich., has played six career games with the Wild, accruing four PIM. Reitz will wear No. 2 with the Wild. He was Minnesota’s sixth-round selection (No. 170 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Reitz made his NHL debut with the Wild on April 7, 2006, at Calgary.

There will be alot of guys called up over the next week or so just so they skate with the big club, doubtful they play in the playoffs.
