Erik Reitz from the
Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) under emergency conditions.
Reitz, 25 (7/29/82), has posted 34 points (8-26=34) for the Aeros - fourth on the team in scoring despite being limited to 49 games due to injury. He ranks second among Aeros defensemen in plus-minus at plus-11. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Detroit, Mich., has played six career games with the Wild, accruing four PIM. Reitz will wear No. 2 with the Wild. He was Minnesota’s sixth-round selection (No. 170 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Reitz made his NHL debut with the Wild on April 7, 2006, at Calgary.
