SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed RW Nick Palmieri to a one-year, two-way contract.

Palmieri has posted 19 points (9-1019), 33 penalty minutes (PIM) and a plus-9 rating in 36 games with Houston this season. The 23-year-old played in nine games with the Wild in 2011-12 after being acquired from New Jersey along with D Kurtis Foster, LW Stephane Veilleux, a second-round pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft (LW Raphael Bussieres) and a conditional pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for D Marek Zidlicky on Feb. 24, 2012. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Utica, N.Y., has totaled 25 points (13-1225) and 20 PIM in 87 career NHL games in parts of three seasons after originally being selected by the Devils in the third round (79th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
