Wild Assign Matt Kassian to Houston (AHL)

Quote:
Forward Matt Kassian has cleared waivers and the Wild has reassigned him to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League. The Wild placed Kassian on waivers on Tuesday.

Zero

Honestly he was not a great player. Good fighter who no longer has a role in the soft NHL.

The Habs deserve to get run out of the arena every time they play a team with any toughness. Absurd that they didn't put in a claim for Kassian after what happened last Saturday.

They were talking about the hawks signing him, and having him rotate with Bollig so they would always have toughnes. They probably thought they had no shot at getting him.

that's as false as false can get. the hawks had no interest in him at this time with carcillo coming back soon, even then, kassian still wouldn't fit cause either him or bollig would then be waived to make room.

Yeah I think it seems like there's a growing trend of fans posting things on message boards can pick up steam and go from "fans would like this..." to "there are talks that...".

again that's false...nowhere did that say that the talk was real. it was all nonsense as seen by him going unclaimed. plus none of the other beat reporters even mentioned the idea was out there and they're with the team everyday

Honestly can't believe this guy didn't get picked up by someone or what Minny traded for a redundancy in Rupp. Yeah he's a slightly better player but he makes 3 times as much as the Kasstrator.

At any rate I say there's a 50 percent chance we ever se him again, but it won't be with Minny.

That may be wishful thinking brother.

theres alot more pressure on the wild to win now since they signed parise suter to those deals . if you look at chicago vancouver sanjose detroit the teams the wild need to beat none of them are really reliant on a heavy . the teams that have heavies are bottom dwellers in the west and they dont need one either because no one needs to rough it up against columbus or colorado to beat them . being that the west is insulated from the east this year anyways .

i think next year once the schedule goes back to normal you'll see more demand for kassian , mgratten , etc .
