Apparently Anaheim is actively trying to trade him, and may walk away from the deal completely if they don't find any suitors. That's surprising to me. I don't watch Anaheim much other than when they play the Yotes, but I probably caught 15-20 of their games including the playoffs, and this guy seems to be a pretty solid, physical dman. And not one of these guys that people say are physical, but actually aren't. He definitely hits, and gets under the opponent's skin. This seemed to be a pretty fair deal, especially considering what others have been awarded.

1.55 is a reasonable salary for him. Ducks are not going to let him become a UFA.

He is on the trade block though.

Are they that cramped in cap space? I'd think they'd wanna keep him for that price.

no but he is a UFA next July, and Shane O'Brien can fill his spot right now for 450,000.

Unless Burke can trade him to fill a more pressing need, I hope they take Vish back into the fold.

The Ducks are in great shape with the salary cap.
I am surprised that the Ducks will still want to move him. 1.55 mill seems like a bargain.

I think Burke is clearing as much space as possible to acquire another frontline player, likely at the trade deadline.

But Vishnevski, at only 1.55 mill will fetch the Ducks a nice asset in return as GM's will line up to pick up a possible top 4 d-man for 'only' 1.55 mill.

Ask Shane Doan if he gets under player's skins. Even the Christian boy popped him in the head at the end of a game.

I like Vishnevski and at 1.55M it's a good deal, once again considering the pay rises for dmen lately. It's a shame if the Ducks do let him go.

vitali vishnevski is a good hitter who is tough and can get under opponents skin. howevefr my favorite incident involving him was when he was absolutely run over by a truck named ovechkin. that was one of hte best hits ive ever seen. this is a good fair price for vishnevski

i have no idea why anahiem wants to trade him. 1.55 million is a pretty fair salary for him and he's a really good hitter.

The Anaheim Ducks announced Sunday that the team has accepted the arbitration award for defenceman Vitaly Vishnevski.

Vishnevski was awarded a one-year contract worth $1.55 million on Friday. The decision resulted in a slight raise for Vishnevski, who made $1.14 million last season.

Now that he is on contract the Ducks may still trade him.
