That would be crazy, imagine Orr and Mac on the same line. I doubt that'd ever happen though, ever

mcgrattan doesn't need to go thru waivers so no chance of that happening...Macintyre was on waivers in order to play in ahl like many others today and tomorrow

Big Mac in a leafs jersey ?? if these rumors are true, it sounds either one of Orr or Big Mac will be in a Marlies jersey to start the season.

Did they give up on Orr already ? Or are they adding a free super HW to the farm team and insurance incase Orr becomes expendable...

It's not like he was ever going to be used by the Penguins, but still, this fukking sucks. They are the softest fukking team in the league and are going to get steamrolled in every damn game against the Rags, Bruins, Isles, Flyers...hell, even the fukking Sabres. I hope Sid saved up all his millions so that he can at least have some money while he's dealing with ringing in his ears for the rest of his life.

Huh? You don't think Tanner Glass can handle all the heavies in the East singlehandedly?

Honestly I think Orr and Mac combined will see 10 games or fewer this year but I hope I'm dead wrong.

Ya I know he's not on waivers. I was thinking via trade.

No way this is true. The Leafs barely have room for Orr (if they choose to use him at all) and Dallas Eakins won't play a 1 dimensional fighter on the Marlies.

I say zero percent chance this is accurate.

I highly doubt it's true. If the Leafs weren't willing to use Orr unless he got faster why would they want a slower, even more one-dimensional fighter? The only possible reason I can think of is if they didn't think Orr could handle John Scott but even that seems highly unlikely.

Even as a Leafs fan I hope this isn't true. I'd rather Mac be on a team that doesn't already have a heavyweight so that he has atleast a small chance of getting in some games this year.

They have Deryk Engelland also, but he's likely not going to be fighting very much and he can't handle all of the heavies in the East either.

#Leafs have not claimed F Steve MacIntyre off waivers. Could happen, but nothing official right now.
