Real solid signing Moen is a pros pro and will give the canadians that solid role player that will make them a little tougher to play against..

Absolutely wonderful. Moen is the type of player that would be ideal for the Wings lineup, and the type of player Holland repeatedly has expressed he would like to have. Holland doesn't like one-dimensional players. He likes to roll 4 lines. This is why he won't offer Downey another contract. But, hey-just sit and wait it out. I'm surprised it took this long for a club to nab Moen.

Wait a minute-what am I talking about? Travis plays physical, fights, and provides a nice mixture of grit and skill. That's the kind of player Detroit doesn't want! I should know better.

Congrats Habs fans.

Neither do Mara, Stewart, or Gill for the Habs, but I put them there anyway. But as I said, I'm not sobbing, I'm applauding because the Habs/Leafs games are gonna build on last year's excitement, with the Moen signing.

There isnt really much room for Kosto now unfortunately without making some trades that involve Dagostini, pleks or any of the kostystins.

4th line was set originally thinking with BGL, Metro and Stewart...third looks like Moen, Lats and Lappy.

Should I be sobbing?

You're also adding perhaps an AHL'er or two in there. Perhaps we could call up Henry every now and then.

They didn't have nearly enough cap space. The only tough guy signing they can afford is essentially the league minimum...but they're not gonna do that either.

There was cap space when Hudler signed to play for the Dynamo. Hulder freed up between $2.5 to $3 this season alone. This was after Lappy and Neil signed with their respective teams. Otherwise, they were stalled in trying to re-sign him because he's a RFA.
