Torres is a ****head and deserved to be suspended for quite a while, 25 games does seem a little much, but if you play a blatantly dirty game day in and day out sucks for you.

Momentum should take him off his feet, yes....but not upwards.

Not a huge fan of Torres in general but I thought that this play was way more of a hockey play then a lot of the others this post season, and while I don't enjoy Torres I did enjoy Hossa getting smoked.

i said this in the suspension thread...if you're gonna use that as a reason for one player, it needs to be used for everyone, star player or role player. players don't know what it clean or dirty due to shanahan's inconsistency thru the whole season.

The reason that they didn't use a prior record for Neal is that he doesn't have one. For the purposes of suspensions if you're a good boy for a year or two they don't take previous transgressions into account.

That "incident" was complete BS because it's a little hard to keep control of your stick when you are being slew-footed in the process. I still don't understand the justification behind that fine.

Calling BS on that explanation. Tootoo supposedly played long enough to get back to that 'clean' status, yet Shanahan referenced that in suspending Tootoo when he got steered into Miller.

Why did he wait this long to appeal it? guess he figured he would still be getting at least 10 games so no need to rush? give the league time to screw up other head shot suspensions/non suspensions to make a better case for himself?
