Valabik is a big strong defenseman that can fight. He plays with a bit of an edge, but is not an "enforcer"...
I would consider him more in the mold of a let say Ed Jovanovski type... a physical defenseman that if need be can throw'em. I would not however consider this guy to be a "lock" to fight when he get on the ice.

Awesome news. A lot of people have waited to see this guy in the bigs for a long time. However I wouldn't consider it a lock with Cote by any means. If Cote challenges Valabik I could see him going but he certainly won't be the aggressor.

I read there's not much chance of Boris Valabik playing tonight, and even if he was, I'd be more inclined to assume an Eric Boulton v Riley Cote bout, which would probably be much more entertaining than the Valabik match.

actually it's not out of left field. boris has been playin really well lately and has earned the re-call. he'll probably be there for the rest of the season. us fans in chicago don't expect to see him until the playoffs in the A
