Thrashers Assign Bryan Little to Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned forward Bryan Little to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League, according to Executive Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Don Waddell. The Thrashers active roster now stands at 22, including 13 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.

Little, 20, scored his first career in his NHL debut on Oct. 5 vs. the Washington Capitals and has recorded nine points (three goals, six assists) in 29 games during his first NHL season.

The 5-11, 190-pound center tallied 342 points (247 goals, 153 assists) in 247 career games over four seasons with the Barrie Colts of the, Ontario Hockey League, from 2003-2007.

Little, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, was selected by the Thrashers in the first round, 12th overall, of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Little wasnt bad out there, but at this stage I rather see Boulton and Thorburn staying up with the big club.

I'm happy they didn't send down any toughness to make room for Recchi. It's best to make sure Little keeps getting a lot of playing time.

They're just stockpiling Chicago :]

Next in line will probably be Haydar.

Im a little miffed cause these were the guys they wouldnt shut up about and now they sent em back down to the minors, Little and Sterling. However, Im with everone else, and DAMN glad Boulton and Thorburn stayed around. Just need a tough dman now. Or at least someone like Valabik....

Good call on keeping Haydar with the team.
