Stephen Peat's career over?

I read somewhere that he was skating in Vancouver, but haven't heard about any contract or tryouts. It's too bad he's had so many injuries. I think he's had three major abdominal surgeries and a couple on his thumb. He's just never been healthy as a pro. I'm actually surprised he did as well as he did fighting. Imagine if he'd actually ever been fully healthy.

Stephen Peat is one tough guy. I really hope his career is not over because he was by far one of the most entertaining enforcers.

i posted a similar question on the hockey chat forum and nobody seems to know what happened to him. but what i think has ruined his career even more than injuries was the new nhl. he never had a lot of skill. i just wish he was still with the caps, he was a hell of a fighter. unless i see something, my assumption is that hes done with hockey

I just did the numbers. He's played seven pro seasons. At 80 games per season, that's 560 games. He's played only 187 games and missed 373. Granted some games he was a healthy scratch and most of the lockout year he didn't have any contract, but that's an amazing amount of games to have missed.

I wonder if he's just sick of it and has moved on.
