Ive tried and tried and just cant care less. He showed his age as the year went on. Always behind the play and when he finaly got into the offensive zone the puck was already going the other way. Yes hes one of the best players to ever play the game, but right now hes a waste of a roster spot and im glad hes gone.

50 plus points is a waste of a roster spot? He's better than anything else the Stars could have slotted into that spot. Just for a simple year, no biggie.

A player like Jags is never a waste of anything.

Your description of his play(while wrong) reminds me of the goons of the league who cant keep up and at the same time score maybe one goal and an assist all season long. But that's ok.

This year's Stars team might as well just engrave their name on the Hockeyfights.com "Worst Enforcing Team" award.

The Bolts might have something to say about that when it's all said and done. Morrow and Lecavalier are the toughest guys on each team, which is just sad.

That's what I was thinking. Gulutzan is a puss.

Who do they have now as 'designated-enforcer'? Jake Dowell? He's a UFA. Marc Fistric? Aaron Rome? Lol.

I wouldn't trust Jagr on the ice for anything but the PP where he needs to show minimal effort towards anything but barely skating and setting or finishing plays.

Otherwise, he's completely useless. And for what the Stars are going to pay him?

In 2001, they signed Robitaille, Hull, and traded for Hasek. 3 guys all around 36 at the time. Of course then they won the cup the same year.

Rome ain't no slouch. Plus Luke Gazdic is just a phone call away, down on the Texas Stars. Francis Wathier as well.

Jagr mostly kept up with the pace in the playoffs, and he showed a willingness to work hard too. Don't get where all the critics come from. He showed heart and work ethic this past season in Philly. If he is serious about loosing weight and feels well in Dallas he could be even better in the more open Western Conference playing style.
