Stars hire Mike Modano, Mark Recchi, and Marty Turco for various positions

The Dallas Stars kicked off the club’s 20th Anniversary byannouncing several season-long initiatives in celebration of two decades inDallas.

The team officially announced the hiring of Stars great Mike Modano, who re-joins the club as Executive Advisor and Alternate Governor. Three-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Recchi has been hired to bolster the hockey operations department, while former Stars goaltender Marty Turco brings his unique talents to the club’s broadcasts.

“We are excited to begin the franchise’s 20th Anniversary season, where we celebrate our history in Dallas and strive to make new history on and off the ice,” said Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi. “With the additions of Mike Modano, Mark Recchi and Marty Turco, I’m confident we have the right staff in place to restore the franchise to the league’s upper echelon.”
