I think the guy deserves another shot, I hope the rags take him back. If dub or drury have anything to say, let him beat the sh*t out of them in practice.

the rangers problem is that there best players and leading scorers are not goal scorers.zach parise has more goals than the top 2 rangers goal scorers combined.the rangers need to stop spending money on guys like gomez, drury and redden and go after a legit goal scorer.gomeza nd drury played good for the team they were on just like when the rangers got holik,we did crap with them after winning 2 cups in nj.you can not just sign players forthe sake of signing them.they have to fit you style of play or it will never work.

New York, February 10, 2009 – "I would like to thank Glen Sather and the Rangers organization for giving me the chance to resume my hockey career by affording me this opportunity with the Hartford Wolf Pack. I am looking forward to getting back on the ice, working my way back to the NHL and playing the game I love. While I appreciate the many interview requests, at this point in time, I would like to focus on hockey and will not be making any further statements while with the Wolf Pack." – Sean Avery
"Sean and the Dallas Stars approached me looking for an American Hockey League team for him to resume playing, and I am happy to provide him with the opportunity to continue his career. Sean was a good player for the Rangers during his time here and has worked extremely hard off the ice over the last two months. He remains under contract to and property of the Stars, therefore, any further comment would be inappropriate." – Glen Sather |

One step closer, I don't think that Avery is going to take the Rangers to the Stanley cup but this team needs some kind of shot in the arm. The one thing he should bring is some passion to the team, something they are lacking right now. Another thing is that his presence would open up the ice for his linemates being that he attracts so much attention, at this point it couldn't hurt.

Sugden and Avery are Buddies!
Quote:
Posted by Lindsay Kramer/The Syracuse Post-Standard February 10, 2009 2:19PM Sean Avery has been sent to Hartford to get his game back into shape for a possible return to the NHL. One of his temporary teammates is Wolf Pack enforcer Brandon Sugden, an ex-Cruncher. Sugden and Avery are both from the Toronto area, and it turns out that they are buddies from way back. That's buddies, as in knowing how to have a good time together. The mind curdles thinking of what a young Sugden and Avery must've been like when they were out and about. Anyways, I spoke with Sugden on Tuesday about seeing his pal again: "I used to party with him back in the day. He walked in and saw me and started howling. We reminisced about the good old days, that was it. I don't think he's that bad. He says things people say all the time. He just says it in front of the media. He's a great player, and he's probably the best rat in the game. I think he's a decent guy. He came in today, was very nice, introduced himself to a bunch of guys. He's just a regular guy. Everybody has made mistakes in the past. I know a couple of players had some bad things to say about him, but not the whole team.'' Sugden said he and Avery practiced on the same line Tuesday. |

I will watch when he comes back. The guys doesn't deserve to be blacklisted besides this could be the beginning of the turnaround for the unemployment rate.
